I don't want our relationship to be just about I love yous and I miss yous and stories about how tiring our day went.
I don't want it to be just about how sorry you are for sleeping during our call, how much alcohol we drank last night, and how much you wanted to embrace me again.
I don't want it to be just about shades of red, teenage romance, and breaking the rules.
I dont want it to be just about us.
I also want it to be about how much you wanted to pursue your happiness, how much you call yourself a mess but still try to be better each day, and how much wounds you received but still believe in the process of healing.
I also want it to be about the days where we both wanted personal space, and rest, and time for ourselves.
And in the end, I also want it to be about how we forgive each other's shortcomings, how we celebrate our little victories, and how we accept our differences.
I also want it to be about the thanks yous for how we chose to stay, for how we looked beyond our imperfections, and for allowing ourselves to make mistakes.
I also want it to be about the sorrys for all the times we forget we're in love because of anger, for all the nights we begin to make distance, and for all the words we speak out of frustration.
I also want it to be about our growth—as a couple, and as ourselves.
Because I never wanted it to be another story of goodbye.
