Halong mga ka Seaside! Here are quick tips for your pets during a Volcanic eruption. 🌋

Mt. Kanlaon erupted today! We are praying for our friends and PAWmily in the vicinity of the volcano. May you be safe 🐾✨

To keep pets safe during a volcanic eruption, you can:

Keep them indoors: Keep pets inside to protect them from ash, which can be poisonous and harm their eyes, skin, and respiratory tract.

Prepare an emergency kit: Include a sturdy leash, harness, or carrier, food, water, bowls, litter pan, and a can opener. Also include medications and copies of medical records in a waterproof container.

Check for wounds: Animals may hide pain, so check for wounds that look like small holes or tears.

Watch for respiratory problems: Be aware of signs of respiratory problems in your pet.

Remove ash from your pet: If your pet goes outside, remove any ash from their body immediately.
Use an air purifier: If you have a cat, use an air purifier to keep them safe from volcanic smog.

Keep their paws clean: Wipe your pets' paws and make sure they stay hydrated.
