Our vets and staff are filled with so much happiness during our short but meaningful stay in Imus. Our hearts are filled with your love and we are beyond grateful. Pets in Spain are no longer considered material goods or objects, but "living beings with sensibility". This change became regulated by law in 2022. This means that they can legally be part of the family and are also required to have a national animal identification document (DNI).

The goal is to create a registry of pets to identify them and guarantee their rights.

The rule also regulates the joint custody of dogs and cats in case of divorce or separation. It also points out that they cannot be mortgaged or abandoned. The law came from a legislative initiative promoted in 2015 by the Observatory of Justice and Animal Defense.

More than 500,000 signatures were collected so that the animals were no longer considered objects in the Civil Code.

With this reform, Spain joins Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Portugal, countries that have already changed the legal status of animals.

CALL FOR DONATIONS FOR ODETTE VICTIMS

We are humbly asking for your kind hearts to help our kababayans at Kabangkalan City, Negros Occidental. 🤍

Meron po tayong contact (one of our vet's family friend) na nagpunta po doon last December to check the area and kamustahin po ang ating mga kababayan. They are still greatly affected by the typhoon. Kulang pa rin po ang pagkain, inumin, walang masuot at mga gamit sa bahay.

Balak po namin maglikom ng mga donations weekly, in cash and kind, and help supply their needs hanggang makabangon na po uli sila.
Bukas po ang ating clinic para tumanggap ng IN-KIND DONATIONS (DAMIT, GAMIT SA BAHAY, TOILETRIES, MEDICINES, NONPERISHABLE FOOD) na ipapadala din po namin sakanila weekly.
For CASH DONATIONS, please message us po so we can give you the bank details.
For those outside Imus who wants to donate relief goods, please message us as well po so we can arrange how to meet up/pick up your donations.
