In celebration of World Rabies Day 2024, the City Government of Iriga, through the City Veterinary Office, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 5, is offering FREE pet services to all residents. Mark your calendars for September 26, 2024, and head to the CDRRMO Covered Court at the New Government Center in Brgy. Sta. Cruz Sur, Iriga City, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Pet owners can take advantage of the following services at no cost:

Open to dogs and cats aged 3 months and above.

Pets must be in good health.

Open to dogs and cats aged 2 weeks and above.

Pets must be in good health.

Pets should be leashed or caged during the event.

Available for male dogs and cats aged 5 months and above.

Pets must be in good health.

No food or water intake at least 8 hours before surgery.

Pets should be leashed or caged during the event.

Available for female dogs and cats aged 5 months and above.

𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥: 𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

Meet Junior, a beloved stray dog who has become a familiar and friendly face at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. Known for his playful antics and affectionate nature, Junior has brought smiles to countless students, faculty, and staff. His cheerful presence has made him a beloved part of our campus community.

However, in the past few weeks, many have noticed a concerning change in Junior. He has become weak, less energetic, and has been eating very little. Yesterday, things took a turn for the worse when Junior was found trembling and limping. Later that evening, he was discovered lying helplessly outside the campus. Alarmed by his condition, the CSPC–PAWSsion Benevolence Circle (PBC) made the decision to bring Junior to a veterinary clinic for urgent care the next morning.

Today, volunteers were able to take Junior to the vet, where he was tested and diagnosed. Thankfully, Junior tested negative for distemper, but the vet discovered that he has a blood parasite, mange, and an infection in his front leg, causing it to swell. He also has a fever and is currently receiving treatment through an IV line. The vet has recommended a blood chemistry test to check Junior’s liver and kidney function, given his age of around 5 years. The test is estimated to cost ₱3,500.

While the vet was kind enough to reduce the costs of Junior's treatment, the total bill remains high and does not yet include the necessary take-home medications. Additionally, Junior will need to stay in a cage during his recovery, as he cannot be allowed outside in his condition. Visiting hours at the clinic are from 10 AM to 4 PM, and visitors are encouraged to spend time with him to provide comfort and support.

We are humbly asking for your help to cover Junior’s medical expenses, including his treatments, medications, and blood chemistry test. Your generosity can make a huge difference in Junior’s recovery and help him return to the happy, loving dog we all know and care for. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated.

𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞'𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫! 🐶🏠

He was admitted to the clinic last August 6, 2024. We informed his pet parent that he was all better and ready to go home on August 18. However, despite our best efforts to reach out, we haven’t heard back from her since August 21.

We understand that financial challenges can arise, and we’ve offered to discuss a payment plan that works for her, but we still haven’t received a response.

It has been almost a month and as much as we would love to have him around, we don’t want him confined in a cage 24/7, risking exposure to other illnesses.

We're taking steps to file a Barangay blotter but hope to avoid this. 𝗢𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - we simply want him back with his family. 💙

Meet Gucci, our patient who recently underwent life-saving surgery to remove bladder and urethral stones. Our team performed this delicate procedure to help Gucci relieve painful urinary obstruction and avoid lasting damage.
