BUDOL AWARENESS... SCAM ALERT..

For all our colleagues and vet staff, please be mindfull and look out for this person (the one w/ the helmet on) . He is notorious in scamming animal clinics for some time now.

He visited both our branches today (kawit and imus) to try his luck.. Luckily, we were able to remember him, thus he was not able to exercise his devious schemes.

Last year, We were victimized by this person by his palit pera modus in our Imus branch.. His modus is to act as if he's going to buy a lot of pet products then pay with 1000 bills. Afterwhich, He will suddenly change his mind, giving excuses in order for the victim to return his money back. It is when he will maneuver a sleight of hand and change the money to a smaller currency, accusing the victim of not returning enough. In addition, do not accomodate his request of breaking down bigger bills. He's good in money changing tactics.

She will need to continue taking meds for few more days to recuperate well.. And with the help of her loving furparents, Chique will soon be back to her good health..

Canine Parvovirus Infection (CPV) is a contagious disease that targets young, unvaccinated dogs. Even puppies that are undergoing vaccination programs are still susceptible to this disease..

It commonly affects the gastroinitestinal tract of the infected patient causing vomitting, diarrhea, inappetence and lethargy. In severe cases, bloody-odorous diarrhea can be observed.

In very young dogs, CPV can also infect the heart, leading to inflammation of heart muscle, poor function, and arrhythmias.
In the bone marrow, the virus weakens the body's ability to protect itself by destroying young immune cells and causing a drop in the protective white blood cell count.

As of the moment, CPV DOES NOT HAVE A CERTIFIED AND APPROVED ONE-DRUG TREATMENT. It is commonly managed through various supportive medication that helps the body overcome the infection.

PREVENTION THROUGH IMMUNIZATION is still the best way to prevent pets from being inflicted. In addition, proper sanitation practices help decrease the risk of viral spread.
