A 1 year old female Great Dane dog, named Heaven, weighing 39.5 kg was presented to our clinic last December 22, 2022 at 9:30 in the evening. Physical examination of the dog revealed swollen lip, hypersalivating and fang marks in left hind limb and left ears. The dog was not given snake venom antiserum due to its unavailabilty in the area. She was only given supportive treatments. After 2 hours in the clinic she was collapsed and given an oxygen, as one of the toxic effect of venom is by paralyzing the respiratory system. After 1 day at the confinement, Heaven became active. She was able to walk and bark, she ate and sleep a lot that makes her regain her energy. Heaven was discharged after 2 days in confinement and was prescribed a medicines for her full recovery.

Animal Practice-Koronadal would like to thank Ma'am Helen Grace Guadalupe for the trust in treating Heaven. We hope she will be able to play more and become happy for her second life❤️❤️❤️.
