A year that made its graceful exit!

My 365-day journey with Sunlife is officially completed today, October 18, 2020. And yet, with great optimism, I wish for yet many years to traverse....hand in hand with Sunlife.

The year was truly fruitful and ended with such a great success despite the unexpected humongous obstacle, the CoVid19 Pandemic so to speak of. This truly affirms that nothing is impossible! If you dream, dream big, and do everything to make things happen.

I could look back to the year 2019 with so much gratitude! And of course, I look up to HIM with so much love.

Before, the face mask was so cheap. Ignoring, no one buys. Last March, I bought 5 pcs for Php 30.00 only. A box of 50 only in Php 300.

Ngayong may Covid19 na, a box of 50 pcs can cost Php 500 to P 1,000. But people BUY it kasi they realized na kelangan na nila.

Life Insurance looks like that. Now that we are young and healthy, we will not buy. We won't notice that because we feel that we don't need it.

But sickness, accident and death is just like Covid, unexpected.

What if the time comes when one happens, can you still buy insurance to help you and protect you?

It would be okay if we could still buy even if it's expensive like the masks we need now. So what if it's no longer possible because it's out of stock like a mask, how about you now?

To give you a better understanding. Here are some updates on what’s going on in the market.

🔍So, what drives the local market to go DOWN?

1. COVID 19

It affects our tourism, airline & gaming industry. It is also expected to slow down consumption. People would rather stay at home than go out to shop & eat out.

2. TAAL ERUPTION

It affects tourism, manufacturing & agriculture in CALABARZON but because calabarzon is just 15% of the Philiippine economy, it won’t be of big impact. Now alert level has gone down to level 2.

3. DUTERTE’s OUTBREAK on big businesses (Manila Water, Maynilad, ABS CBN, UP Ayalaland Technohub)

This attacks on big businesses has drag market sentiment. Siempre any uncertainties like this .. ayaw yan ng mga investors. So investors seek safe haven in gold.

4. US IRAN WAR

Pulls down investors confidence as oil prices go up. Remittances will go dowm.

I believe that all of this will pass. Kagaya ng mga pagsubok natin sa buhay , lahat yan di naman natin maiiwasan. We just have to remain strong, manage our finances & emotions.

In spite all of these negative drivers, our FUNDAMENTALS REMAIN STRONG:

1. We maintain LOW INFLATION.

January 2020 inflation rate is 2.9%
Low inflations increases consumption.

2. Low UNEMPLOYMENT rate.

Pag maraming nagta trabaho, mas maraming gumagastos, pag maraming gumagastos mas malaki ang kikitain ng mga negosyo.

3. Early pass of 2020 National Budget.

In fact, 51.8% of the 4.1 Trillion pesos has already been released to goverment agencies on the first month of the year. This will help fast-track Build Build Build. Capital formation is necessary to support economic growth.

So, kung ang perang itinatabi natin eh hindi pa naman natin kailangan agad agad... it is better to KEEP CALM & STAY INVESTED.

Hindi dapat matakot, VOLATILITY is your friend. Pag mababa, mas dapat nag invest cause it is at a discount.

But if you are not comfortable with volatility. We have the option to transfer a portion of your investment to BOND para mas conservative.
