It was nice to meet you, Sweetie! Such a brave and sweet senior girl. She had her inguinal hernia repair, it is small opening in her inner thigh, sa tagalog luslos sa singit. It may be benign condition but her bladder is already palpable in the area, causing obstruction in her p*e, and it is a serious condition. So, always feel your pet’s hernia, which most of the time, if present, is located in their mid-tummy. If hard, painful, off-colored, almost bruise-like, bring for immediate medical attention.

Mom said, “look at the doc’s camera or else no treats for today, lol!”
They have some appetite issues after being “napagalitan,” they would beg for food but remembered nagtatampo sila so they would stop eating..but just to be sure, they were brought in for wellness check and some labs, it turned out they have in fact underlying issue with their blood, liver and kidney. They are alert and active, just the pagtatampo and decrease in appetite. Good thing, these details were not missed out by their furparents and brought them for immediate medical assessment.
Are your pets feeling a bit under the weather, looking sad or making tampo, it could be that or something else, so it is always a good idea to consult their doctor!
Stay safe from the rainy weather, everyone and have your pets’ vaccination for Parvovirus, Distemper, Leptospirosis and Rabies updated, especially during this weather conditions.

Zena/ZIZI, our overzealous, newly “hired” pet receptionist, in one of her rare, quiet moments. She looooves attention and may be too eager at times, for that we apologize if you’ve already met her and had scared you or your pet; but she has not shown any aggression towards people, other dogs and even cats (Wednesday has already “slapped her twice, oops, hehe) If you’re unafraid and has extra room in your heart, she would love some tummy rubs! 😊🐻

Ear mite (Otodectes sp) 🕷️ They are microscopic parasite that thrives in your pets (dogs, cats) ears. They usually produce dark brownish black cerumen or ear wax, it may cause pruritus (itch) and may lead to otitis (ear infection). Sometimes, it may cause your pet to scratch their ears excessively and abrasively causing rupture of their ear vein, leading to ear hematoma. This looks like their ear flap has become a balloon. Though they are fairly easy to treat, don’t underestimate this tiny parasite.
