This poor kitty was rushed to the clinic after being accidentally hit by a car backing up. The driver didn't see the cat hiding under the vehicle, causing a devastating re**al prolapse.

This incident highlights the importance of:

💔 B's Journey to Recovery: A Reminder About Stray Dog Safety 💔

B's recent wound repair surgery was a tough experience, but he's on the mend! He was outside when he was bitten by stray dogs, leaving a nasty wound on his neck. The heat, combined with scratching, made the wound worse, and his skin started to p*el.

This situation highlights the importance of keeping our furry friends safe, especially when they're vulnerable to stray dogs.

Here's how we can all help prevent similar incidents:

- Castration: Castrating male dogs significantly reduces their aggression and wandering tendencies, especially when in heat female dogs are around.
- Secure Yards: Ensure your yard is properly fenced to prevent escapes and encounters with stray animals.
- Supervised Playtime: Always supervise your pets during outdoor playtime, especially in areas where stray dogs may be present.

We're so grateful for our skilled vet who helped B recover. We're also reminded of the importance of responsible pet ownership and community efforts to address the stray dog population.

Tasha's Stone-Free Journey: A Shih Tzu's Triumph Over Urinary Trouble! 🪨

Our hearts go out to our furry friend Tasha, the adorable 3-year-old Shih Tzu who recently faced a scary situation! 😥

🐶 Tasha visited our vet clinic for a check-up with a chief complaint of difficulty p*eing. During the physical examination, our resident vet palpated a small, onion-sized mass inside her uterus. She was promptly scheduled for essential lab tests, including CBC, blood chemistry, and an X-ray to really know what is that onion-sized mass inside her uterus. Our vet recommended immediate surgery for Tasha, but the owner requested to discuss it with their family first and opted for prescribed antibiotics.

Despite a week of medication and follow-up care, Tasha showed no improvement. Eventually, the owner made the decision to proceed with the surgery for Tasha.

Tasha was struggling to p*e, had no appetite, and was in a lot of pain. 😔 After running some tests, our vet discovered a painful calcium oxalate crystal stone blocking her urinary tract.

We immediately started IV fluid therapy to hydrate her, and then performed a cystotomy surgery to remove the stone. This surgery involves making a small incision in the bladder to access and remove the stone.

Thankfully she is now recovering well! 🎉

📌What are calcium oxalate stones?

Calcium oxalate stones are a common type of urinary stone in dogs. They form when there's an imbalance of minerals in the urine, leading to crystal formation.

📌Why is cystotomy surgery necessary?

A cystotomy surgery is essential to remove the stone and prevent further complications like urinary tract infections, blockages, and even kidney failure.

📌How can you help prevent oxalate stones in your pet?

- Diet: Feeding a balanced diet specifically formulated for your dog's breed and age can help.
- Water: Ensure your pet has access to fresh water at all times.
- Regular vet checkups: Routine checkups help catch any potential problems early on.

TUMMY TROUBLES GONE 🩷

It's Tranquila's follow-up appointment today, and she's a total pro! She's been doing so well since her last vet-visit, and we're all so happy for her. ❤️ Tranquila's Back to Her Old Self! 🎉

Tranquila has been diagnosed with Amoebiasis, causing her to have tummy troubles. Well, she's back to her sassy self after a week of medication, look how cute she is winking at the camera and letting us know she's feeling much better! 🙌 Those formed poops 💩 are a sure sign she's on the mend.
