BU-AWS is deeply concerned about the potential impact of a rushed return to campus on the mental and physical well-being of students. The added pressure of a tight timeframe to pack up belongings, and prepare for the resumption of classes, particularly after the destruction caused by #๐ง๐๐ฝ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐ป๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ถ๐๐ผ, can induce heightened levels of academic stress.
BU-AWS believes that granting students additional time to prepare would foster a more conducive academic environment. Sufficient rest and relaxation can enhance physical health, thereby improving students' cognitive abilities. Given that many students traveled back to their hometowns in ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ๐, ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ, which were severely affected by Typhoon Pepito.
Furthermore, by demonstrating empathy and understanding, the University can create a supportive and nurturing environment that prioritizes the holistic well-being of its students.
BU-AWS urges the administration to consider this plea and take steps to reduce the undue stress experienced by students during the aftermath of the disater. A compassionate approach will not only benefit the students' academic performance but also contribute to their overall well-being and future success.
