Malapascua Paw Heroes An animal rescue center on Malapascua. We aim to increase quality of life to strays and sterilize to reduce population.

We plan to rotate through the population of strays and provide support to pet owners.

Dog’s name is Tokyo, he is suffering from nose bleeding for several days and the other two puppies are suffering from pneumonia. We decided to bring them to the vet or animal hospital. Quite challenging, transport via boat and private car and honestly quite costly but what can we do.. This endeavor requires deep compassion and love for the animals❤️❤️❤️.

Unfortunately, Tokyo never made it, got admitted for several days but God decided to take him and let him rest🥲. We will surely miss you Tokyo and may your soul rest in peace, you will always beloved and remembered. Thank you for the memories😌…

She is Cristina Freund, a woman who stood her ground to fight for the welfare of the animals. During pandemic, she spent all her money to save the animal shelter and has forgotten herself. She had dedicated her life for these poor fur babies. She had forgotten what life is about to offer her. She won’t buy expensive clothes, trips or holidays to other countries, jewelries, or any luxurious items. She will save her earnings and make sure have budget for dog/catfoods, payment for vets, rentals for the animal shelter, wages for people taking good care of animals. Know what, she had forgotten even her lovelife.

Majority of the earnings from Hippocampus Beach Resort actually goes to her mission and that is why many thanks to those who dine with us and had checked in with us. We asked her about her definition of happiness, we’ve got a simple answer, “Hard to see animals are suffering, they need human attention and to take care of them, and that makes me happy taking good care of them.”

The little puppy is Joko, he is suffering from Pneumonia and need to be hospitalized for maybe 3days or so and the other one is Pearl and she is scheduled for her 2nd vaccination. We need to do this, life in the island is quite challenging, you need to cross the sea to give them a medical attention, buy their foods, quite expensive and so taxing. But that’s what it is. An infinite love…..

The parvo virus and distemper virus are inside the shelter again this puppy are positive of distemper please don't bring new animals in the shelter🙏

2 puppies we named Darling and Legend, found at the legend dive shop. The little girl, Darling, was so scared, always backing away and baring her teeth, and we have been trying to slowly win her trust the last few weeks. Our mission to change the stray population forever!

We are Malapascua Paw Heroes (MPH). We are a non-government, non-profit organisation on a mission to get every cat and dog on Malapascua island healthy, sterilised and off the streets. MPH was founded as one of the projects of Neverland, a guesthouse on the island.

Currently, we are located and working out of Neverland, operating around the island to ensure welfare and well-being of all strays and pets. Our goal is to ensure well-being and reduce population by sterilizing all cats and dogs, working with the community to ensure this has a lasting impact. We are opening a clinic and holding facility to assist in this mission. This will include a clinic for vets to operate in, quarantine for illness and recovery, and area for the animals to live as we rotate through the population of the island.

As we are a non for profit, we rely on the kindness and support from everyone to make this happen!
