Today is International Cat Day! Let's celebrate our feline furbabies by learning about them and spending time with them.
Here are some ways to spend Cat Day with your dear kitty:
1. Take an afternoon nap with them.
- Cats are crepuscular beings, which means they are most active at dawn and dusk, and sometimes at night. Their sleep cycle makes them sleepy in the morning and afternoon so spend some time with your cat by taking a nap with them.
2. Buy them a toy or treat.
- Whether it's a ball or a feather wand, your cat will surely appreciate you playing and spending time with them. Visit the nearest pet store and get them a toy or a treat!
3. Brush their fur.
- Cats are known to groom themselves by licking their fur. They moisten their fur with saliva and brush out debris with their barbed tongue, which makes them prone to ingesting excess fur. Brushing their fur regularly helps lessen the formation of fur balls in their stomach.
