As we see an increasing number of Distemper-stricken patients, please be advised that our staff might perform a preliminary assessment of your pets before accommodating them inside the clinic premises.

Our vets are back from the recently concluded Singapore Vet Show 2024 where they learned from the leading veterinary professionals about the current innovations in the veterinary profession.

We have also sent delegates last October 3-5 to the Philippine Animal Hospital Association conference held at the SMX Convention Center.

In our profession, the learning never stops. We intend to apply these newly gained knowledge to better take care of your furbabies.

Vetsquare Veterinary Clinic is looking for 2 LICENSED VETERINARIANS to join our team!

We are located in Los Baños, Laguna, just a few kilometers outside UPLB.

Our clinic is fully equipped with its own in-house laboratory comprised of:

🩸IDEXX Procyte One hematology analyzer
💉IDEXX Catalyst One blood chemistry analyzer
🩻TUTOM Fully digital X-Ray
🦠VCheck Analyzer
🧪Antigen and Antibody test kits
🔬Microscope
🐾Ultrasound

•applicants with experience in a small animal clinic setting are preferred but newly licensed veterinarians are welcome to apply
•applicants that know each other will be given priority but is not required
•work will be 5 days per week, 8-10 hours per day with 2 rest days
•open to work day shift and/or night shift (initially until 12 midnight only)
•willing to work on weekends and holidays (with holiday pay)
•COMPETITIVE SALARY
•with monthly allowance and daily food allowance

Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is one of the most important infectious diseases in cats. It can manifest in a variety of syndromes including: cancers (leukemia, lymphona, etc.), neurologic problems, blood diseases, and immunosuppresion among other things.

Direct contact between cats is the most common transmission of infection. However, FeLV can also be transmitted by an infected pregnant cat to its kitten during pregnancy and lactation. As such, screening for FeLV will be mandatory prior to vaccination.

We never post about our pro-bono cases but today we are making an exception.

Gun violence is never okay!

Bulldog, as cute as his name, was presented today due to suspected gun shot wounds. His owner is a sweet old lady who wanted nothing but the safety and welfare of her cuddly cat. Bulldog sustained 2 gun shot wounds on his right thigh with one bullet directly hitting and fracturing his femur. We have offered to amputate his leg free of charge in exchange of the owners reporting the incident to their respective Barangay officials.

Sadly, this is the second gun shot wound on a cat we have seen in the past 2 weeks. We encourage our pet owners to report any related incidents to your barangay officials so the culprits can face the consequences of their cruelty.

Bulldog still has a long way to recovery but we are hopeful that he gets to celebrate the New Year’s at his loving home.
