🚨 Feline Emergency 🚨

This is Mavi, a female British Short-haired cat who was brought to us, believed to be in labor for more than 24 hours. Upon examination, we noticed black discharge coming from her v***a.

Blood test showed an increase in her WBC and an emergency surgery was performed.
It turned out that Mavi was not pregnant at all rather it was PYOMETRA -
Her uterus was filled with pus and had to be removed (SPAY). She was given antibiotics and was confined until full recovery.

Mavi is now at home with her loving furparents 🥰

Why is it important to have your pets checked and be given tick and flea preventions?

✔ Ticks are the carriers of blood parasites in animals (such as ehrlichia, babesia, anaplasma and lyme). Blood parasitism causes signs like nosebleeding, inactivity, decreased appetite, blood-tinged stool or urine, and rashes.
✔ Ticks are blood-feeders and can cause anemia
✔ Ticks can and may cause paralysis to its host, most often in dogs

The video shows Chucky where the start shows him before having his tick treatment and the end of the video shows his already dead ticks less than 12hours after receiving his medicine.

Ang rabis ay nakakamatay

RA 10631, or the amended Animal Welfare Act of 1998, prohibits the torture, maltreatment, cruelty, neglect, abandonment and killing of dogs, with certain exceptions, while RA 9482, or the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007, bans the trade of dogs as food meat as a measure to prevent the spread of rabies in the country.

Take action and report dog meat trade and animal cruelty to law enforcers.
