Patient S was brought to me looking very lethargic, extremely dehydrated, inappetent, vomiting, and with foul-smelling, bloody diarrhea. I learned from history that there isn't a record of vaccinations.

In order to prevent more dehydration and further complications, the patient was placed on an IV line for a couple of days while also receiving oral medications to control diarrhea and vomiting as well as broad range antibiotics.

FORTUNATELY, Patient S made a full recovery and returned to being his hyper, loving usual self. A second chance at life was handed to him.

To all pet parents out there, Core vaccinations are absolutely essential for preventing this preventable disease in your dogs and cats.
