Good afternoon to all responsible pet owners of Mlang, PETS'HUB Veterinary Clinic will be having a FREE antirabies vaccine (ARV) for your pet during 2nd Kawayanan Pet Expo this coming November 26. Just visit Pets'Hub Veterinary Clinic booth and read the following
* Pet must be atleast 3months old
* Expired ARV/ No ARV Vaccine or early booster not less than 6 months can be accomodated
* Apparently healthy before/during vaccination
* limit of one dog per owner to cater other dogs due to limited supply of vaccine
* Bring your pet VACCINATION CARD

Case of Canine Distemper Virus in Mlang😔
Canine distemper is a contagious and serious disease caused by a virus that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous systems of puppies and dogs. It is mostly acquired via airborne (coughing or sneezing) or direct contact with infected dog.
Common signs are coughing (ubo), nasal discharge (sipon) or eye discharge(pagmumuta), lethargic(matamlay), inappetence (walang gana kumain), muscle twitching and seizures.
Please keep your furbabies VACCINATED to prevent the virus to be acquired and get sick.
If symptoms observed consult your veterinarian😊

Dr. Julie Bee Esmedia, attended the three-day event and participating the 28th Annual PAHA - Philippine Animal Hospital Association, Inc. Conference, with the theme "𝐼𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑉𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑟𝑦 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑇𝑜𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 𝐺𝑙𝑜𝑏𝑎𝑙 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 ". The event is currently held in Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.
New learnings and knowledge that she obtained in the convention, rest assured will be applied to our fur- patients in the future.

"Macie" a 9 year old female intact dog with clinical symptoms of brown vaginal discharge,inappetent, lethargy and panting. According to the owner, dog have her heating period approximately 2 weeks ago. Macie undergo surgical procedure to removed her uterus and will be under antibiotic medication for possible systemic infections.
Pyometra is the infection in the uterus (womb) of a female dog. It is caused by hormonal changes in the body that fill the uterus with pus. As the infection grows, the uterus gets filled with pus. If not treated on time, the pus can cause blood poisoning, peritonitis, kidney failure, or even death.
Pyometra is a life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical attention.

Symptoms include: Dry, scaly, wrinkly skin. Hair loss (alopecia) Red, crusty skin and rashes. Greasy coat. Pus filled spots. Dark, thickened skin.
