As you explore the incredible exhibits at Art Fair Philippines this week, you may notice some curious cat friends lounging in the garden. For you, this is an event—but for these cats, this is their home.

Please be mindful and gentle around them. Respect their space, and if one comes up to say hello, consider it a little gift✨ from the garden itself.

Fallen in love with a cat you met? Consider adopting and giving them a forever home.

Not ready to adopt? You can still help! Support their care by donating to CARA Welfare Philippines, a group dedicated to rescuing and caring for cats like these.

You can find her near the plants of our favorite go-to coffee shop in the PH 🤭 Like we always mention, she is so ready for a home. 🥹 Just look at how she is with park goers: very talkative but would often refuse to be touched. 😅

As much as we would like to believe that the Board of Trustees in question have justly heard the side of the resident volunteers, it's evident that they did not: from moving meetings on short notice to a much earlier date knowing that they have only heard the complainants' side, to releasing their decision just 48 hours shy from when the volunteers personally handed over their letters and position paper to the head office just for the volunteers to be heard. We believe that this decision is premature and goes against what DMCI markets themselves to be.

Heartless people can argue all they want that DMCI is "pet friendly" and that will not mean they are animal friendly; BUT THEIR MARKETING HAVE SHOWN OTHERWISE. So which is it, DMCI Homes DMCI Communities??

Why should the barangays not recognize the volunteer groups when they are actually doing them a favor by humanely managing the cats in communities? Why should it always be bypassed like this?

Please do not be mum about this, DMCI Homes. You market yourself as animal-friendly and WE KNOW that you support volunteer groups but when push comes to shove, THAT is when you use your platform and good name to ACTUALLY support these community groups who are actually doing you an unasked favor.

Really glad that the cat was spotted. This is also why it matters so much to be kind to any and all animals anywhere--not only because maybe they are community animals or cause they might be someone's missing pet, but also because they have lives, too.

Karma and Heavens shall take care of whoever tried to lead this fell astray.
