Currently, the dog is under the care of the City Veterinary Office, Thanks to Mr. Ramelito Flores and friends.

LIVESTOCK DAMAGE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE DISTRIBUTION 2023

Last November 17, 2023, The City Veterinary Office together with the CDRRMO, City Mayor's Office and City Treasurer's Office in coordination with the Barangay Council of identified Barangays, conducted Financial Assistance Distribution to the victims of the Flashflood and Landslide caused by ITCZ last June 21, 2023. The activity was held at Simaya Covered Court, Simaya, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The recipients were identified in coordination with the Barangay Council of the affected Barangays based on the reports submitted, and the list was produced June 22, 2023. The Barangays with identified recipients are the following: Aglayan, Bangcud, Cabangahan, Linabo, Managok, Violeta, Apo Macote, San Martin, Sto. Niño, Simaya and Sinanglanan.

The City Veterinary Office conducted 8th High-density Anti-Rabies Mass Vaccination Performance Review and Team Building activities last August 23 and August 25, respectively. The activities were participated by Veterinarians headed by our City Veterinarian Dr. Michele C. Miquiabas, Animal Health Personnel and Barangay Veterinary Extension Officers. The objectives of the performance review are the following:
1. To evaluate individual performance per barangay in comparison to last years' performance;
2. To identify problems encountered during the conduct of the activity and formulate solutions for each of the identified problems;
3. To set goals and create plans for next years' activity;
4. To provide insights for a better and productive output the following year;
5. To foster camaraderie among the personnel of the City Veterinary Office.

The highlight of the Performance review held at Farmers Training Center, Malaybalay City, was the conduct of Break away session/Workshop facilitated by Dr. Mary Ann Valdez, wherein each groups were given specific assignments and outputs were presented per group. Problems encountered during the conduct of the activity were identified and possible solutions were formulated.

The Malaybalay City Veterinary Office conducted Avian Influenza (AI) Disease Monitoring & Surveillance last September 11, 2023 at Barangay San Martin, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, spearheaded by Dr. Mary Ann Valdez and Dr. Jude Ignatius Casimero.
A total of 30 samples (Blood and opropharyngeal swab in chickens and ducks) were collected from 6 households of the said barangay (5 samples per household). This mandatory bi-annual sample collection was in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office (DA RFO 10) and Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) which aims to maintain the Avian Influenza (AI)-free status in Region 10.
