Yesterday, our team together with the office of the city veterinarian of LAPU-LAPU City successfully fixed a total of 76 pets in Olango island. We would like to thank Dr. Janice Togonon, city veterinarian of LLC for inviting us. Thank you also to the people of Brgy. San Vicente Olango island for the hospitality. We are happy to be of service to the oponganon furparents and furbabies. Looking forward to more collaborative efforts with you in the future 🥳

When it comes to surgeries, especially for brachycephalic dogs like Pugs, Bulldogs, and Shih Tzus, it is still best to perform them in a clinic set up for these breeds.

This is particularly important for those considering low-cost options outside a clinic set up. We understand the appeal, but here's why we don't accept certain breeds for low-cost surgeries outside our clinic: In times of emergencies, like with brachycephalic breeds, having immediate access to oxygen and other critical resources in a clinic setting can make all the difference.

This patient was neutered in one of our affiliated clinics. We're thankful that after 7 hours on oxygen, the dog recovered and was able to go home the following day. When seeking a clinic for surgical procedures, it's crucial to choose one that is well-equipped.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Daniel Ventura Jr., former dean of SWU College of Veterinary Medicine and cherished mentor of SugboVets. Dr. Ventura's wisdom, dedication, and kindness have left an indelible mark on our lives and the veterinary community. His guidance and passion for animal care have shaped many of us into the professionals we are today. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Dr. Ventura's legacy will live on in our hearts and through the countless lives he touched. Rest in peace, Dr. Ventura. You will be greatly missed.
