Yesterday, a pet was brought to our clinic with a serious injury. The poor dog had come home with an open wound on its abdomen, and it was clear that immediate care was needed.

Our team got to work right away. We cleaned the wound thoroughly to remove dirt and bacteria, then carefully closed it with sutures to help it heal properly. A temporary bandage was placed, and we gave medications to prevent infection and manage pain.

Now, the next steps are in the hands of the loving owner. With proper home care, keeping the wound clean, following medication instructions, and ensuring the pet gets plenty of rest, there’s a good chance for full recovery.

This case is a reminder of how quickly accidents can happen and how important it is to seek care as soon as possible. We’re glad we could help, and we’ll continue to be here for every pet in need.

This little pup just made its debut, and we’re gently clearing the airways to help it breathe on its own. Suctioning any remaining amniotic fluids from the nose and mouth is a quick but vital step we take to support each puppy’s first breaths.

At our branch, Doc Vince recently treated Achilles, a ball python with a blister on his abdomen. After examination, the condition was identified as scale rot or bacterial dermatitis, likely due to wet bedding.

To help Achilles recover, we started his treatment plan that includes medicated sprays and daily iodine baths to cleanse the affected area. We also advised regular bedding changes, maintaining proper humidity and temperature, and closely monitoring for any signs of worsening.

For snake owners, it’s important to keep enclosures dry and clean, as well as regularly checking your pet's skin for any unusual signs. If you spot anything concerning, don't hesitate to consult a veterinarian!
