Chip showing off his new skills with the Leave It command! Being able to ignore food being thrown on the ground while walking is a high difficulty task for many dogs, but also a very valuable skill to learn! It reduces the chances of them eating something that might make them sick and in general teaches them impulse control around food. Great job Chip!
Monday enjoying some good ol’ homemade yogurt 😋 (of course, Kuro wants a piece of the action!)
Woohoo! Lab reached a new personal record for the Long Jump at 5 bars (1 meter). After some warmups and some failed attempts, Lab finished strong with an awesome personal record! We will continue to build on this and aim for 6 bars (1.25 meters) next!
Our dog coming back to us should always be a normal and positive event for them, so when it comes to situations where it really matters, they come back to us 💯 of the time. It especially helps us keep them safe when we’re outdoors in different environments.

New record in the Long Jump for Luna!
At 2.75 meters (12 bars) she made a new personal and park record. Tied for second place is Niko and Monday with 2.25 meters at 10 bars.
Quick video from a recent Agility session with Luna! She has already passed Basic and Advanced Obedience and is now learning very quickly in Agility. We are working on communication and guidance and are now ramping up the speed and difficulties. We work on both the multi-obstacle courses and also the single-obstacles where we go for personal records in high jump and long jump.
Hot days need 🧊 ice-ey treats and some homemade goodies are the best ☀️
My attack dog attacking her favorite human ....... with love and kisses!
Mallow and Yowgi graduated from Basic Obedience! These gorgeous fluffers did an amazing job during this course and I look forward to working with them and their owner again soon!
A short clip of Niko and his journey to become an Agility master! With a lot of dogs we have to build their confidence, but with Niko we have to control his excitement! He is bursting with energy and him being a teenager can be a bit chaotic. But when he is locked in, he can do amazing things! You see throughout the video that his owner is calming him down rather than having to motivate him to speed up. Doing things in a controlled manner is what is important and each dog has their own manual and path to success! Keep it up Niko!
This feisty rescue kitty is trapped in a box + stool contraption for 10mins to get her medication. She accepts treats as compensation for her ‘suffering’
A short clip of Luna's Agility session. During Agility we focus both on single-obstacle jumps and working on personal records in height and length, but also chaining a number of obstacles together and we work on time. We worked a lot with Luna on gaining her confidence and skill on the obstacles and now working directly with the owner in overcoming the obstacle course. We mix things up every now and then and add or remove obstacles to make it different and adjust the difficulty. Luna and her owner are doing amazing and are having a ton of fun doing it!

Reactive Dog Kevin now ignores even the loudest barks from other dogs.
Train your reactive dog to be calm & confident.
Passing reactive dogs isn't always easy. That is why before we go near them we set up the situation to make it less difficult. By having yourself in between the dogs, having a short but loose leash, and walking past them at a normal but consistent speed. Kevins owner did a textbook perfect job here and Kevin therefore was calm despite the other dog being noisy and out of control.
Some highlights from an Advanced Obedience session with Ollie! Last year he aced the Basic Obedience and now is well on his way in completing Advanced! His owner has done an incredible job with continued practice. Ollie being a high energy dog can be quite challenging, but it can also be a ton of fun if you put in the time, and the results don't lie! Keep it up!

Today was Latte's first Advanced Obedience session! He graduated from Basic Obedience a few months before and his owner continued to practice and it really showed! Today he learned the first Advanced command called Place, with Latte going towards the platform, jumping on it, and then sitting down and waiting. Because of the foundational training he had before he did very well in this first session. The challenge now is to slowly increase the distance at which he listens on going towards the platform. This improves with practice, practice, practice! Great job Latté and see you next week!
Mixing up some Agility with Advanced commands. Sometimes we just test and experiment and if the dogs have fun with it, we keep it in! It is important to keep an open mind and not have training that is always set in stone. Every dog is different and they all have their own strengths and weaknesses, and that's okay! Keeping things fun and engaging is what produces results, and that's what we will continue doing!
