Here’s our cat adoption process:

👉 Bring photos and videos of your home for review, please show WINDOWS (we need to make sure it will be safe for your new kitty!)

👉 Have a carrier/cage ready for your new pet

👉 Fill out the adoption form

👉 Undergo interview

👉 If you pass our screening, please pay the adoption fee of PHP1,000

You can also book our partner pet transport, Pet Love Travel, for a discounted ride.

WE ARE IN URGENT NEED OF A LICENSED SOLO VETERINARIAN

We are a non-profit organization whose main mission is to spay and neuter stray animals. We are looking for a veterinarian who:

✅ Has moderate experience in clinical canine/feline medicine including castration and ovariohysterectomy
✅ Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday shift (Full time/Part time)
✅ Is willing to be trained to perform flank spay surgery (if not yet experienced)
✅ Work will be based in Mandaluyong
✅ With negotiable basic salary & government benefits.

From June to September, CARA Welfare Philippines shared our advocacy for Responsible Pet Ownership and humane population control in schools, barangays, fairs, summits, and online spaces.

On June 4, we spoke at De La Salle Araneta University with future veterinarians about the importance of Responsible Pet Ownership.

On July 20, we joined the Barangay Council of Brgy. 901 Zone 100, Manila to discuss their proposed ordinance and introduced CNVR (Catch-Neuter-Vaccinate with anti-rabies-Return) as a humane model for population control.

On August 9, we joined A Pawfect Fair, engaging attendees about CNVR and adoption. By August 22, we represented CARA at the International Pet Summit 2025, connecting with groups and advocates nationwide.

In September, through CARA PAWterviews, we reached more audiences online. On September 3, volunteer Ellaine Sissons spoke in a Mapua University thesis interview on animal welfare and interior design, sharing how safe spaces help animals and how design makes adoption events more inviting. On September 5, Team Leader Irianne Labangon and Trustee Eleanor Agulto joined a thesis discussion on stray management and pet ownership challenges, offering practical recommendations for stronger collaboration between QC’s veterinary office, NGOs, and communities.

Every event reminds us that education and collaboration are key to building a compassionate community for animals. 🐾
