Spaying is generally more complex because it involves internal abdominal surgery, whereas neutering is usually less invasive 🥼

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰:

After the operation, male cats tend to recover quicker, but they may experience grogginess from administered anesthesia. Ensure that they refrain from stressful activity for about 7-10 days to avoid strain and complications. Monitoring them is a must if they exhibit lethargy, decreased appetite, or other unusual behavior

Moreover, the success rates of these operations are above 𝟗𝟓% 𝐭𝐨 𝟗𝟗%, while the mortality rate is less than 𝟎.𝟏%, meaning fewer than 1 in 1,000 animals 💪😼

There are plenty of benefits to neutering and spaying our cats, such as longer lifespan, population control, better quality of life, and reduced risks of diseases like Pyometra, cancer, and tumors.

In a world where copulation is engaging but overpopulation is distressing––Castrating is slaying! 💅 Is your feline male friend very feisty and quite restless? We had better eliminate those purr-balls 🤩

Neutering is a surgical procedure performed by a veterinarian to remove a male cat’s testicles. Their two testicles, which are situated in the sc***um, directly beneath the a**s, are extracted during the surgery via small incisions in the sc***um. Normal testicles are oval in shape, and when a male cat ages, they get bigger until they are about two and three years old, at which point they normally stay the same size.

As a commonly known fact, testicles produce s***m and secrete male hormones, such as testosterone, that influence s*x drive. Male cats have higher testosterone levels, which mean that they tend to be more aggressive and territorial. Additionally, their drive to copulate with female cats in heat is very strong. That is why neutering is a purr-fectly meowvelous way to reduce such behaviours and alleviate our feline friends' mating-related stresses.

Welcome to our cat-tastic community project! We're here to tackle the purr-oblem of stray cats with a pawsitive approach––sterilization ✨

Numerous communities throughout the world struggle with cat overpopulation. Many stray cats have been wandering the streets without proper care due to neglect or irresponsible ownership, lack of spaying or neutering, and buying and breeding rather than adopting shelter or rescue animals. According to a report in 2023 by the Philippine News Agency, authored by Wilnard Bacelonia, the country's pet adoption rate is less than one percent and The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has also reported that as of 2019, there are around 12 million stray cats and dogs in the Philippines.

Currently, cat overpopulation has caused multiple concerns, such as public health issues and the possible spreading of zoonotic diseases. Our community faces challenges like low awareness, a shortage of spay and neuter services, and insufficient resources. The project aims to tackle cat overpopulation through sterilization, which will help reduce the stray cat population and enhance the well-being of both the cats and the community.
