But Peter said, โI have neither silver nor gold, mbut what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk.โ โ Acts 3:6
During birthdays or Christmas, I often ask my children and my wife for their wish lists. Whatโs written on their lists sometimes surprises me because they cost much less than what I want to give them.
In todayโs Gospel, a man crippled from birth asks Peter for alms. Peter said, โI have neither silver nor gold, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk.โ
Peterโs reply is very personal for me because I often use this when I pray for other people. I donโt have the means to help others financially or the connections to get to the right people. What I do have is faith in God and the power of prayer and surrender.
Whatโs in your wish list for God today? Believe that He wants to give you more. Donโt just settle for alms. Stand up and walk away from sin and shame. Receive His blessings and miracles in your life today, and do the same for others as well! Monching Bueno ([email protected])
