Conducting
3 in 1 Immunoassay Canine Titer Test (IgG) for Inf. Canine Hepatitis Virus, Canine Parvo Virus and Canine Distemper Virus.

This is an important test quantitative test recommended 2 weeks after the last dose of canine core vaccine (5in1 vaccine) or 2 weeks after natural exposure to a virus mentioned above.

What are the benefits of Titer Test.
1. This will allow the Veterinarian to know if the antibody production per patient is successful after the series of vaccine session.
2. It provides transparency and confidence of pet owners to the vaccination program undergone by their furbabies, as well as the peace of mind that their furbabies are fully protected.
3. It also allows the Vet Clinic to improve their vaccination program if needed.
4. This will also allow the Veterinarian to decide how many doses of vaccine should be given to the patient with lapse vaccine or even after the natural exposure of the patient to a certain virus mentioned above.

Another Ehrlichia positive patient using the Gold Standard Diagnostic test, The PCR Test.

Since the patient has history of Blood Parasitism (Ehrlichia and Babesia), using a Rapid Antibody Test might give you a Positive or False Positive result, because of the antibody produced from previous infection. That is why, we recommend PCR Test to identify if the causative agent is really present in the bloodstream.

Right definitive diagnosis will lead us into right definitive treament.

"NOT ALL ANTIBODY POSITIVE IN BLOOD PARASITES HAS AN ACTIVE INFECTION"

That is why Pet Medics Veterinary Clinic is now upgrading and make Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Test for Blood Parasites (Ehrlichia, Babesia and Anaplasma) available here in the clinic.

Popular RAPID Test for Blood Parasites only detects Antibody produced by the host immune system against particular blood parasite. It means that the host might have the current infection or might have the history of said infection (detected antibodies were just remnant from previous infection).

But PCR Test surpasses the limitation of Rapid Antibody Test, in which it can identify the specific microorganism down to its DNA coding.
It provides confidence to the Veterinarian, Clarity and Peace of Mind to the Furparents and definitive diagnosis and treatment for our furbabies.

This will help to eliminate false positive results from Rapid Antibody Test for Blood Parasites that even non-vet practitioner can perform.
