Been talking to alot of new clients and most are wondering how i got here. Even immediate family members have no idea, so maybe it's time to tell my story.

Three years ago, after living in another country for 16 years, I took a chance. I went home and started a small business with no money, no clients, and no idea how to run a business.

I knew nothing about business, my wife was 6 months pregnant and the covid pandemic was at it's peak.

It was the worst possible time to jump, but I knew in my heart that I had to jump.

I didn't have the things I needed. I remember training dogs with some DIY equipments or gear I found for cheap and sometimes feeling embarrassed when using chewed-up or tied-together leashes in front of potential clients.

Despite it all, I was naive enough to hope that things would magically get better and smart enough to know that HOPE wouldn't build my business.

Six months into the dream, I felt like a failure. A terrible dad for spinning so many unproductive plates. A terrible husband for leaving the entire financial burden of family life on a bet. A terrible son, brother and friend because I had fallen off the face of the earth.

I was offering to work for other dog trainers for free, spending money i didn't have to attend seminars, shoveling dog poo in exchange for some knowledge and maxing out my wife's credit card to travel and learn from established trainers.

By month nine, I hadn't made much money. A local woman walking her barking lunging beagle near my house commented on my well-behaved dogs, and I was desperate. I chased her for three blocks just to hand her a piece of notebook paper with my phone number on it.

She called an hour later.

That was the catalyst. I knew if I ran as hard and as fast as my body would let me, I could achieve anything. I went to every vet, every shelter, every rescue, every struggling dog owner in the streets and offered my services for free. Most of them refused or ignored me. Some of my 'closest' friends even laughed at me.

But i was desperate, I chased that beagle over and over again, and things paid off. Clients signed up, dogs were trained, and word spread.

My eight-hour days turned to twelve. My twelve-hour days turned to sixteen. Some days I was training dogs into the night, and it didn't matter because I was on fire, burning from the inside out with ambition.

After a year of sixteen-hour days with no days off, I was no longer pushing the train uphill. It was starting to push itself, bringing with it fulfillment and some semblance of financial security.

I took another leap and suggested to my wife that we empty our life savings to buy a farm.

She agreed. And Tristar Farms was born.

Fast forward two years. I still have 2 cell phones on me at all times. I still answer emails at dawn, post videos daily, correspond with clients, and train dogs into the night, but it's no longer because I'm desperate. It's because the dream is growing faster than I can keep up.

For that, I am very humbled and grateful, especially to my repeat customers and former clients who continues to recommend my services. ❤️❤️❤️

My simple message to you as we begin 2024 is this:

If you have a dream, don't wait for things to be perfect, don't feel like a failure if it doesn't work immediately, don't stop running as fast as your body will allow.

It was supposed to be a short session but i ended up playing with him and giving him a belly rub for an hour. 😅

Will probably be a sad day for me when he graduates..

They were supposed to personally pick up JOIE but due to unforeseen circumstance, they can't travel to Bicol atm. Client Update - Jaga and Tora (BMs) We haven't posted a video for a while so here is a quick video of today's early morning walk with some obedience in between. The only goal for the owner was to take these two for a jog every morning. The owner saw our previous videos of dogs walking nicely without a leash and asked if these two can do the same.
