Ringing in the New Year with New Life! 🐾

What a way to kick off 2026! Yesterday, January 4th, our surgical team performed a successful C-section for a very special French Bulldog mama. 🐶❤️

We are thrilled to announce that she is recovering beautifully, and we welcomed two healthy, chunky Frenchie puppies into the world! There is truly no better feeling than hearing those first little squeaks and seeing a proud mama meet her babies.

Frenchies often need a little extra help during delivery, and we are so grateful to their owners for trusting us with their care.

✨ Highlights from the Nursery:

Mama Status: Resting comfortably and being a natural pro.

The Puppies: Two strong, wiggly bundles of joy!

The Team: Our surgeons and nurses worked seamlessly to ensure everyone stayed safe and warm.

Please join us in wishing this new family a happy and healthy start to the year! 🥂✨

🐾 Holiday Schedule & New Year Pet Safety 🐾

Happy New Year, Furparents! As we prepare to welcome 2026, please take note of our clinic’s holiday schedule to ensure your pets are cared for:

🗓 CLINIC SCHEDULE:

* December 31 (New Year's Eve): CLOSED ❌
* January 1 (New Year's Day): CLOSED ❌

We will resume our regular operations on January 2nd 2026. Please make sure to stock up on maintenance medications and prescription diets before we close!

🎆 Keeping Your Fur-Babies Safe This New Year
The loud bangs and bright lights of New Year celebrations can be very stressful for our pets.

Here is a quick guide to keeping them safe and calm:

✅️ Stay Indoors:

Keep your pets inside a secure room. Double-check that all windows and doors are locked to prevent "bolting" due to loud fireworks.

✅️ Create a Safe Haven:

Set up a "den" in the quietest part of your home. Use their favorite blankets, toys, and maybe an old shirt of yours—your scent provides great comfort!

✅️ Drown Out the Noise:

Play calming music, white noise, or leave the TV on at a moderate volume to help mask the sound of explosions outside.

✅️ Early Exercise & Meals:

Walk your dogs and feed your pets early in the afternoon before the noise starts. Anxious pets often refuse to eat once the fireworks begin.

✅️ Watch the Menu:

Keep "human" holiday food away from pets! Avoid giving them bones, chocolate, onions, or alcohol, as these can lead to emergency clinic visits.

✅️ Keep Calm:

Your pets take cues from you. If you stay relaxed and behave normally, they will feel much more secure.

Wishing you and your furry friends a peaceful and Happy New Year! 🎉🐶🐱

🎉 Success Story! Relief for a Sweet Mix! 🐾

We're happy to share the successful cystotomy surgery we performed recently on a wonderful Shih Tzu-Poodle mix!

This poor pup was suffering from hematuria (blood in the urine), which is a worrying sign often caused by bladder stones (uroliths).

🩺 What We Did:

* Procedure: A cystotomy—a surgical incision into the urinary bladder.

* Outcome: We successfully removed the problematic bladder stones, eliminating the source of irritation and bleeding!

This surgery is often the best treatment when stones are too large to pass naturally or cause persistent, painful symptoms.

If you ever notice blood in your pet's urine or difficulty urinating, please contact us immediately. Early diagnosis is key!

Orthopedic Success Story!

At our clinic, we are dedicated to restoring pain-free mobility. A recent Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) procedure on a very fluffy, small breed patient went wonderfully!

The FHO is a surgical option for small pets experiencing severe hip discomfort due to arthritis, injury, or hip dysplasia. It's a proven method to alleviate chronic pain and improve quality of life.

We're thrilled to see our patient on the road to a smoother, happier walk.

🐾 Vaccine V.I.P.s! 🐾

Look at these little bundles of muscle and joy!

Our American Bully pups are growing up fast, and that means they're hitting their first major milestone: Vaccinations!

Getting your puppy vaccinated is the single most important step you can take to keep them healthy, strong, and safe from serious diseases.

We want them living their best, happiest lives, and that starts with protecting them.

If you have a new puppy or know someone who does, please don't skip those vital vet visits! Protect your fur-babies! 💪

There's no better feeling than knowing your beloved pet is safe and sound, especially when faced with an emergency.

The phrase "no pets left behind" is a powerful reminder of our responsibility to include animals in our emergency preparedness plans. It emphasizes that pets are family and deserve the same consideration and protection as any other member of the household.

To ensure your pet is never left behind, here are a few key steps you can take:

Create a pet emergency kit:
This should include a few days' worth of food and water, any necessary medications, a leash and harness, a copy of their medical records, and a recent photo of your pet.

Plan your escape route:
Know how you'll get your pet out of your home safely. If you live in an apartment, this might mean having a sturdy carrier ready to go.

Identify pet-friendly shelters:
Not all emergency shelters can accommodate pets. Research local animal shelters or hotels that are pet-friendly along your evacuation routes.

Have proper identification:
Make sure your pet has a collar with up-to-date tags. This greatly increases the chances of being reunited if you become separated.

Taking these proactive steps can make all the difference in an emergency, ensuring that your furry, feathered, or scaled companion is always part of the plan.
