A Goodbye from Hayang Squad
I started in 2020 when I was lost and didn't know what I wanted in life. I took in two puppies first then proceeded to take in two kittens. They were all incidentally white and that's where I came up with the name Hayang Squad (Hayan is white in Korean). They then gave me a purpose, an advocacy to stand by. And as the months and years passed, I ended up caring for about 18 dogs and more than 50 cats. I have also helped with a lot of TNVR efforts that I honestly lost count of how many we were able to save from overpopulation.
But this chapter of my life is coming to a close. I am not abandoning my squad but rather giving them a better life than what I can currently give them. I am putting them up for adoption for families to enjoy their love. I have been these strays' rehabilitation and it is now time to find them a furever home.
In partnership with Lucas Sanctuary, Hayang Squad is looking for homes where we can place our current 7 dogs that are under our care. On October 19th, we will be sending the whole Squad to their Pangasinan sanctuary where they will temporarily stay while awaiting their future families.
It is heartbreaking for me to let them go but I know deep in my heart that they will have a better life once I let go. This chapter has reached its end, and now we have to give it the best closing we can give - a more stable family and a happier, healthier life. These tears will not be for sorrow but for the hope of them finding their better lives soon.
This is not a goodbye. And this is a hope that they find their better lives soon. I will still continue to do what I can for the community animals. Thank you to everyone who supported us thus far especially during the Squad's worst times.
