'YOUR CONSIDERATE INSPECTION COULD SAVE A LIFE'

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) urged the public to check their cars thoroughly before driving, especially during the rainy season, and ensure that no stray animals are taking refuge under some parts of the vehicles.

"As the rainy season ushers in, let’s spare a thought for animals. It only takes a quick 5-minute check before riding your parked car. Don’t forget to remind your friends and family to do the same! Your considerate inspection could save a life!" they wrote in their Facebook post on Monday. (Facebook/Philippine Animal Welfare Society)

🄻🄰🅂🅃 🄼🄰🅈 11, 2024, 💻KidDos of Comsci💻 conducted an enlightening workshop titled "𝐇𝐓𝐌𝐋 - 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡, 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐚! 𝐀 4-𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭" at Romblon State University. Big congrats 🎉 on the success! It was awesome seeing students dive into the world of Computer Science with such enthusiasm.

Another milestone achieved! Our scale project has successfully reached the strand of action, gratitude to (angge and harold) for allowing us to participate in their workshop.

JUSTICE FOR KILLUA 🐕💔

Netizens cry for justice after an innocent golden retriever named Killua was found dead inside a sack.

Vina Rachelle, Killua's owner, took to Facebook on March 17, 2024 to grieve the loss of her beloved dog. "[M]ahal na mahal ko yan. [W]e found his lifeless body inside a sack," she wrote.

In another Facebook post, Vina assured the public that they will ensure that the suspect behind the killing will be held accountable.

"I promise po na makakamit natin 'yung hustisya para sa furbaby ko at para din matigil na ang pag-abuso at pagkatay sa mga dogs dito sa lugar namin," she said.

The killing of any animal is punishable by Republic Act No. 8485, or the Animal Welfare Act. Any person who violates the law will be imprisoned for not less than six months nor more than two years or a fine of not less than P1,000 nor more than P5,000 or both at the Court's discretion.

A huge shoutout to our dedicated volunteers who made it a memorable day (nagkapera pa nga). Harmonizing for a cause! Our heartfelt carols not only brought joy but also raised funds for our project.
