HOW TO WATER YOUR SUCCULENTS???

There are two ways to water your succulents:
1. TOP SOIL - where you water on the soil only.. usually done with established plants.
2. BOTTOM WATERING- where you dip an inch of the pot in a container with water and let them drink from the bottom up.. usually done with succulents whose leaves hate getting wet like sempers and sedum dasyphyllum major and minor.

HOW TO WATER NEWLY POTTED PLANTS?
Wait for 4-5 days after potting before you can introduce water. This is to allow your plants to adjust to their climate and new soil. This is also to avoid transplant shock.

After 5 days you may introduce 10-20 ml of water πŸ’§ πŸ’¦ you may use a syringe for this part. Water only on the soil around the brim of the pot. Do this every 3-4 days depending on the size of the pot..

The water we introduce is not to quench their thirst but to encourage them to grow more roots. They will still be drinking from the leaves at this point. Do this for 2 weeks.

Then increase to 20-30 ml for the next 2 weeks. Observe the leaves if they have stopped drying out and start getting plump. Remember not all plants will react the same way.. some form roots longer.. be patient..

After a month check the roots. If you see a lot of visible roots then you may start watering them with 40 ml always around the brim only.

Always check the soil if its dry before watering. If the soil is still moist skip a day. Do this for another month.

HOW TO WATER ESTABLISHED PLANTS?
This is a lot easier.. i water 40-50 ml around the pot every 4 days.. always check if the soil is moist before watering.
Use a clean and dry bbq stick. Stick it to the soil and remove, if parts of the stick gets moist or soil goes with it soil is still moist. Skip a day or two.

Observe your plant. If it starts getting plump and hard, DONT BE GREEDY and water more.. your plant can only handle so much water. Its first defense is to drop leaves when it gets too full.

Do once every 2 months full watering. Water should flow from the bottom hole. I include fertilizer drops for this watering day. To help ammend the soil and feed them nutrients

Water when the temp is cool preferrably in the afternoon or at night πŸ™‚ succulents in their natural habitat usually gets rain 🌧 🌧 at night or mildew from the early morning. πŸ™‚

Terrariums are indoor gardens in a sealed container. The plants and the soil in the terrarium release water v***r – essentially recycling water. The v***r is then collected onto the walls of the vessel and trickles down to the soil. Terrariums are self-nourishing, which is why they require little maintenance, if sealed.

Health benefits of a terrarium:
*Reduction of anxiety/stress.
*Sharpen mental focus.
*Lift moods and boost creativity.
*Purify and humidify air.
*Lower heart rates and blood pressure.
*Higher levels of quality of life.

Terrariums really do bring health, peace, inspiration and the joy of nature to the workspace.

These plants are called Air Plants. Their true name are Tillandsia. The reason why they are nicknamed "Air Plants" is because they get the majority of their nutrients from the air around them.

WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW DO YOU CARE FOR THEM?
Whether you are a pro when it comes to these little beauties, or a novice learning about them for the first time, this is a great place to start.

These low-maintenance plants are the perfect little companions for home, work or school. They require very little up-keep, and are a nice green addition to brighten any setting regardless of the season. You can also find a plant that perfectly matches how much light they will receive.

Did you know???

Cactus is well known as an efficient absorber of radioactive waves, thanks to an in-depth study done by NASA. It is especially useful for absorbing the radiation that is produced by computers.
Cactus also absorbs the radiation that may be coming from nearby cell phone towers, so it is truly a plant that protects you from a wide range of radiation.

Benefit at Home:

* Improved Air Quality
While most common indoor plants purify the air during the day, bromeliads release oxygen and remove air pollutants during the night. The Plants for Clean Air Council suggests that when combined with foliage plants, bromeliads can help provide around-the-clock indoor air purification.

Spirituality and Symbolism

For those who find themselves drawn to the cactus, you may subconsciously admire its ability to thrive in intense conditions that would render a plant of lesser strength lifeless. The spiritual meaning behind the cactus is symbolized in its hard protective exterior, its endurance and strength to survive in new environments and situations. The cactus is adaptable and strong.

While it may not be recognized for its beauty, the real beauty and treasure of the cactus come from the inside, with its unique ability to store water. Keeping a cactus in your home or at work will remind you to stay strong, endure and remember that the essence of both your truth and your beauty from within.
