What is Reptilab? For me, it’s more than just a name—it’s a passion, a symbol of everything the exotics hobby stands for: curiosity, dedication, and the love of misunderstood creatures.

Reptilab once thrived as a haven for hobbyists, a community where people could connect over their shared fascination for exotic animals. But like many, we faced challenges during the pandemic, and for a time, Reptilab disappeared. Alongside it, so did a figure beloved by the community: Bogart.

If you’ve been with us from the start, you’ll remember Bogart—the “funny savannah monitor” everyone loved to joke about being called an iguana. Bogart wasn’t just a reptile; he was a spirit, a representation of us in the hobby: misunderstood, mislabeled, but fiercely unique. Bogart is me. Bogart is you. He’s every misfit who has ever found solace in this community.

When I first joined the industry at 18, I was just a part-timer with big dreams and a deep love for these incredible creatures. Now, as Reptilab rises like a phoenix from the ashes, I’m honored to return as the newly appointed Brand Manager. This is more than a second chance—it’s a fresh start fueled by lessons learned and the unwavering support of a passionate community.
