One of the amenities of Rancho Mati includes a 20-meter round pen. Round pens are used for training, to allow the rider to connect and develop a deeper bond with the horses through lunging. It is also used for the rider to gain confidence and focus on their seat and balance. It’s a good place to practice if riders would like to train in a smaller and less intimidating area, before moving to a bigger arena. The round pen will soon have a roof for a more comfortable ride against harsh weather conditions.
