HEART'S ❤️ FOR ASPINS!

Heart Evangelista started volunteering at PAWS way back in 2006. She showed up at the shelter, played with the dogs, and entered our Dog Run, with no concern for her clothes getting dirty. She shared that she never really understood the discrimination against aspins since in her family’s home, all dogs are loved and cared for equally.

Heart even relayed a story about her dad defending a dog that was maltreated and saved a mommy dog from being slaughtered. Her dad dropped by PAWS too, and in a very sweet gesture, donated to us to honor his daughter’s passion for animal welfare.

And she really has taken after her dad as a fiery defender of animals. This fashionista joined PAWS’ operations during the Taal Volcano disaster, crawling under houses to get food to starving abandoned puppies. She worked determinedly with other volunteers participating in the onsite feeding of animals abandoned by their owners due to the sudden evacuation.

There are many more examples of Heart’s big heart for saving animals. She and Panda are real champions of animals. And this is why they are beloved and are valued members of our PAWS family!
