PAWFECTLY GOOD'S FIRST PET ADOPTION EVENT AT SOUTHWOODS MALL WAS PURRFECTLY GOOD 💕😻🐶💞

This is going to be lengthy but we have a lot of people to thank.

First, we want to answer the influx of questions coming from new followers about us and what we do.

We started Pawfectly good because of Southwoods furbabies. These are stray cats and dogs who (mostly) are abandoned by irresponsible owners at Southwoods City.

Because they used to have owners, they are now finding it hard to survive street life without regular feeders.

Many have been run over by reckless riders while some experienced abuse and cruelty from people who hate having stray animals in the area.

Hence, our mission is to feed them everyday with nutritious food, have them neutered, vaccinated and find good families for them who will never abandon them. We do this everyday including holidays since 2021...even though we are not laguna residents.

We have extended our help to nearby areas too like in Alabang, Slex, Magsaysay and La Marea, San Pedro Laguna...areas where we passby on the way to Southwoods.

In order to protect them from cruelty, we have gotten all the original Southwoods cats and dogs. Those remaining in Southwoods now are the "new batch" of abandoned furbabies.

We opened an on line store as an attempt to have another source of income to support the daily needs of the furbabies. But both of us are working professionals.

We do this not to encourage pet abandonment but rather spread awareness of what happens to a pet abandoned in the street... They suffer.

But we can't accommodate all. We have limited funds. We are just a young couple trying to survive adult life and trying to share what blessings we have to help these poor furbabies. We are thankful that we have friends who would volunteer to help us feed them even though they too are not from laguna. Sacrifices has to be done to save lives.

This year, we are very thankful to Southwoods Mall for finally opening their doors to us and our furbabies.

We have received a lot of messages asking how come we have collaborated with them. Long time followers haven't forgotten the sad thing that happened between us and the mall administration. But, whatever has happened in the past is now but a water under the bridge. All is good now. A room has been opened for change.

We are also thankful that they help protect our furbabies from cat nappers and dognappers especially last Saturday. Because of that... Everything went well 😍 Thank you Southwoods Mall. Thank you Megaworld.

We are grateful to Ms. Nancy of CARA Welfare Philippines for assisting us with this pet adoption event. It's our first time and we didn't know what to do. She sent people who could help us like Ms. Armie and Ms. Gladys. They helped us spread the word about the event and lent us volunteers: Miss Linzay and Miss Lea.

Ms. Isabelle who is also from CARA gave a very helpful talk about the importance of spaying pets and the penalty for abandoning unwanted pets.

We are also grateful to Ms. Mae, BOD Secretary of La Marea and also to her friends Ms. Flordeliza, Mr. Gerald, Ms. Leticia, Ms. Jinggay and Ms. Nory for not only coming last Saturday but also for sponsoring part of the expenses we had to organize a pet adoption event. Their generous donation helped make our event a beautiful one.

Contrary to what other people are thinking, we don't have unlimited funds and regular sponsors. We are using our own money to pay for everything. That's why we're very thankful whenever there are people who would send help for the food of the furbabies.

Ms. Mae and her friends are very supportive too of our proposals and plans to manage stray population in La Marea.

We also would like to thank Mr. Achim and Ms. Mary Anne of LM Animal Lovers Club for helping us screen possible adopters and for helping us entertain people who attended the event. The future of the furbabies lies in our capability in choosing the right families for them.

Thanks to Ms. Janice for doing a very very good job as the emcee of our program. She made it fun and inviting.

My dear friend Elaine together with Shirley and Lenard decorated the place. Thank you!

And to my cousin Dr. AL, thank you for your support. It means a lot to us.

While we're busy at the event Ms. Arlene sent help for the food of the furbabies for that night. She's an answer to our prayer because we've got no funds left and we're feeding 160 plus furbabies every day. She's an angel.

We are thankful to our followers who volunteered for the day: Ms. Airene, Ms. Charry, Ms. Anna and Ms. Nicky. We appreciate their concern and love for the furbabies.

If interested to adopt, all you have to do is bring a valid ID and fill up a pre adoption screening form. If you pass the first screening, we'll schedule a home visit and if we see that your home is safe and suitable for the furbaby, we'll ask you to pay an adoption fee (which we'll use for the kapon of new furbabies), sign an adoption contract and agreement and schedule the delivery of your new furbaby to your home.

We strongly advise that if you are planning to adopt, you must be physically, mentally and financially ready to adopt a cat or dog. Your willingness to commit in taking care of a cat or dog must be 100%. You must be willing to sacrifice your time, effort and money. We did the same and as we pass them to their new families, we expect them to give the best to our Pawfectly good furbabies.

All Pawfectly Good furbabies (street and foster furbabies) consume P3000 worth of pet food a day or P90,000 in a month. It is a huge sum that we've been trying to raise all the time. It is not easy considering the lack (absence) of volunteers from the south and our daily gas and toll expenses coming from manila to alabang and laguna everyday is not decreasing but we have to travel back and forth to feed all 160 plus Pawfectly good furbabies.

Raising fund for the rent of the foster home is another struggle every month.

Keeping them healthy is our no.1 goal now so we can avoid vet expenses. One way to keep them healthy is by feeding them daily with nutritious food and giving them vitamins.

Our street furbabies no longer rummage trash cans for food or bother people for their leftovers. They wait for us every night. Not coming, would break their hearts and we don't want them to eat something out of the trash again like our new Southwoods cat here " Eclipse "

Another benefit of feeding them daily is that people are starting to appreciate them. Less people are shooing them away now. Healthy food makes them look good.

Aside from our street furbabies, we are fostering more than 80 cats and dogs from Southwoods, Alabang and La Marea. We have to meet their daily needs especially the kittens, puppies and the seniors.

MY PAWFECTLY GOOD FURBABIES SURVIVED 2023!!! THANKS TO YOU 😍🙏

I am trying to think of a word that could best describe 2023...

Difficult and challenging are two words even when combined could still not completely describe how tough 2023 was to me, my family, my friends and my furbabies.

For me, 2023 was an enemy. A giant that I had to defeat.

It was too strong for me.
And He knew well how to fight me.
He took most of those precious to me
And shot me with arrows after arrows not giving me time to stand up and fight.
He stole my happiness and my memories too.
Making sure I won't have anything left to survive.

But one thing 2023 didn't know, I have a God who never left my side and stronger than any enemies I had to face.
He sent me people who helped me fight this battle.
True friends surrounded me. They protected me and my Pawfectly good furbabies.
They even extended their help to less fortunate kids I couldn't help anymore.

My loved ones kept me strong.
even when they too are hurting and suffering. They shared their strength to me .

Also, my Pawfectly Good furbabies wouldn't survive if not for these angels who would often send help for their food. There was never a day that their tummies were empty. There were not many...but their concerns are true.

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM OUR YOUNGEST SOUTHWOODS FURBABY "WILLOW" 🎄❤️🌟😻

Hi! My name is Willow!
I am 2 months old.
I was hungry and crying,
When I found a boy and girl walking hand in hand at the bus station.
I thought they will give me food...
But they shooed me away and they both ran.
I feel hurt. Do I look scary?

I was feeling cold
I went under a bus
Then a man called me.
I like his voice so I went to him.
He said he has food and he took me.
I was so small. I fit in his palm.

He brought me to a lady
And the lady took care of me
She gave me milk and
She hugged me to keep me warm.
Like me, she's sick.
But she told me "don't worry little one
we'll be okay"
And I became okay and strong.
She named me Willow.

One day, I saw her crying.
Bad people are hurting her furbabies.
Her sadness made her sick and weak again.
And she couldn't play with me...
Her friends took me and brought me to this house where there are lots of cats.

Big cats! So many of them
And they're always hungry.
They eat a lot!
I call them ate and kuya.
They play with me.
But, I miss the lady who I call mommy
And I need to eat every 4 hours
I want to grow fast and strong

So, everyday I would ride this car
Where there are cat food and dog food.
In the morning, I would visit my mommy.
My mommy's friends would feed me in the evening.
They feed many cats and dogs too
In the street, they wait for us.
I met some of them and they are nice.

The man who took me,
who I now call Daddy,
Would always tell me to be thankful
They bring many cat food and dog food
For many hungry dogs and cats waiting for them.

He told me there are angels who would send help.
They cannot feed them all without the help of these angels.
Angels are from Jesus
Because Jesus hears their prayers.

My mommy told me about Jesus.
How powerful, loving, and helpful He is.
She told me it's His birthday today.

Here's our little salty and sweetie, two of our alabang kitties, asking for P10. 00 for their holiday food bank.

💗🎄We need to save for their food this coming December 24- January 2, 2024 where traffic is heavier and price of goods are higher.

The birthday of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is celebrated by everyone who believes in Him... Which means all His creation that breathes joins the fun.

We love the season but not the traffic. We don't reside in the South, we're coming all the way from Metro Manila to Alabang, Binan and San Pedro Laguna to feed the Pawfectly good furbabies every night.

Because of the season, the traffic in Edsa and Buendia where we're coming from are getting heavier (pricier too) and because of that, we had to adjust the feeding time of the furbabies to a much later time. Added to that, we have to passby our favorite pet store where we buy our furbabies' food every day.

We passby the pet store every day because we rely on how much pocket money we have on the day plus the amount of donations we'll receive (if there's any) which we use to buy food for the furbabies. Our personal money always goes to rent, vet expenses, gasoline and toll gate fees.

💗🎄For only P10 a day (starting today) you can help us fill the 10 day holiday food bank of our furbabies and store food for them. Buying a 10 day worth of food would save us time and money.

We spend P3000 a day to feed all 130 plus pawfectly good furbabies (foster home and street)

💗🎄The cats consume 8kgs of dry food a day and 5 cans of wet food. While the dogs consume 10kgs of dry dog food and 6 cans of wet food a day (this includes the puppies).

We spend P3000 a day.

7 from Southwoods City, 3 from Filinvest Alabang and 2 from Pacita, San Pedro Laguna, or a total of 12 cats had their spay/neuter surgery at Biyaya Animal Care last week. They all received free Anti Rabies shots from the clinic too.

Like our other furbabies, all these cats have stories to tell.

SOUTHWOODS CATS:
😻CHOCO - our original Southwoods furbaby who was catnapped last March 2022 and went missing found her way back to us after more than a year through the help of Ms. Tara. We'll share her full story soon.

😻 ASH- abandoned at Southwoods by a family who had to move to another home that doesn't allow pets.

😻COURAGE- abandoned at Southwoods when he was just a tiny 1 month old kitten.

😻 STARBURST - resident Shell Southwoods cat. A huge snake ate her kittens while her bestfriend "blizzard" was catnapped.

😻 ECLAIR - abandoned by a lady at Southwoods when she was pregnant. She gave birth at the mall few months ago. But we didn't know where she kept them and what happened to the kittens.

😻 CUPCAKE - she's also an original Southwoods furbaby (2021) A friend of toki and sugar and sister of Caramel and Hazelnut. Her spay surgery has long been delayed. Finally, we're able to bring her for spay surgery this time.

😻 CHEESECAKE - abandoned at Southwoods when he was just a 3 month old kitten together with his siblings. He's the only 1 who survived. Others got run over by motor bikes and car drivers.

FILINVEST, ALABANG:

😻 MAPLE - students and frequent mall goers love her. She's a favorite because she's a very smart cat who has her way of communicating to you. She's very sweet too. She, panda girl and samchon had a very cute love story. Unfortunately, we had to get her because Jt's Manukan and Grill in Bloc 10 made a complain and had requested from the mall administrator to remove Maple because they don't want "stray" cats around their restaurant.

Her fans are missing her now. Jt's Manager have done the same "removal" request to Bear, Pinky Nose and Baby white. They would always complain of "one cat" and even placed a "no strayfeeding" poster on their glass wall. Although if you'll go to the mall, you won't see many cats... Usually just 1 or 2 and won't even stay longer because the cat knows the feeding time we have set for her/him.

*since then, we vow not to support JT's manukan and grill bloc 10.

😻 BRIE - according to a Marshal, she was abandoned by a lady jogger. The lady said, she wasn't allowed to have pets in her apartment. She's pregnant when she was abandoned. She have two babies (camembert and cottage). When camembert got catnapped we have decided to accommodate her and have her spayed.

😻 MEI LING - adopted by a Chinese couple a year ago but they had to leave her because they need to go back to China and they can't bring her with them.

PACITA, SAN PEDRO LAGUNA
😻 QUEEN - neglected cat by an irresponsible owner who doesn't feed her and would leave the house without food and water for her so she had to go from house to house and rummage their trash cans for food. She now lives with her foster mom.

😻 PRINCESS - kitten of Queen. She was attacked by a big dog when she was just a tiny 2 month old kitten. Thank God, she survived.

As of March 2021, 81 Pawfectly good cats and 7 dogs are already spayed/ neutered and vaccinated thanks to God's angels (sponsors).

May we bring more unfixed cats for spay and neuter surgery and help solve the growing population of homeless cats and dogs in the country.

Because and

Don't impound neutered and vaccinated cats too. Allow them to stay and guard their territories so no other unfixed cats would come. They can help protect your properties and establishments from rats and snakes too.
Just like humans, God made the animals for a purpose. Learn to accept and appreciate that.

DO YOU HAVE EXTRA P20 TO SHARE FOR DOBBY AND OTHER PAWFECTLY GOOD FURBABIES?

This is Dobby, who is asking help for food on behalf of all Pawfectly good furbabies.

Forgive us for asking help once again.
But our expenses has doubled this November. The prices of almost everything increased (gas, toll, pet food, vitamins, medicines, etc) not to mention the number of furbabies that we had to bring for check up to the vet clinic. Custard (Southwoods cat) just had her tooth extraction. The expense of her oral surgery ate most of our remaining fund. We also made sure that all 12 cats (including courage) are "kapon ready" by bringing them to the clinic for CBC, days before their kapon surgery... So, there goes our fund.

Right now, we are having trouble meeting the amount needed to feed all 138 pawfectly good furbabies daily which is P3000 (this doesn't include manila furbabies). Although their Vet is now requiring us to include wet food in their diet to avoid UTI and CKD cases and spare us from more expenses, we try our best not to exceed that amount as much as possible.

If you have extra P20 or any amount, please consider donating it for the food of Pawfectly good furbabies 🙏 We feed them with petfood everyday and we give them vitamins too to keep them healthy.

We not only feed homeless cats and dogs at Southwoods City. We also have Alabang and San Pedro furbabies. We don't have other volunteers. We don't have caretakers. We use our personal money to pay the rent of our foster home, utilities, vet expenses, medicines, gas and toll (we are not binan residents)

It can get stuck on their gums, throat and can cause bleeding in their intestines. Don Don, Cola, Shy girl, Tiger and Tweety all suffered from this last time.
