Note: supplies of these rescues come from red cubs and our net sales. With less donations coming through, the rescues are affected.
IT HAS BEEN A CONSTANT STRUGGLE.
Red Cubs Pet Patrol has been struggling to make ends meet considering that there are four shelters to maintain.
Those who pledged to give support before, in exchange for the team’s generosity to help them by adopting their pets are now nowhere to be found.
The team has two days to leave the dog shelter and transfer.
The dogs are being threatened to be evicted from the property due to several complaints from non pet lovers.
We do hope that through this page, other people would still help Red Cubs.
Red Cubs never once abandoned their dity to help, but people have repeatedly abandoned them just because a lot take them for granted.
Pls subscribe for ₱55.00/ monthly here in Cubao’s page so we can send the donations to red cubs or donate to Gcash 09189852149.
Ear mites are a common and irritating parasite that can infest the ears of pets, especially cats and dogs. They are tiny, barely visible creatures that live in the ear canal and feed on ear wax and skin debris.
Symptoms of Ear Mites:
* Excessive scratching or rubbing of the ears
* Head shaking
* Dark, crusty debris in the ear canal (often resembling coffee grounds)
* Redness and inflammation of the ear canal
* Itching and irritation
* Ear odor
Transmission:
Ear mites are highly contagious and spread easily from one animal to another through direct contact. This can happen during play, grooming, or even just close proximity.
Diagnosis:
A veterinarian can diagnose ear mites by examining your pet's ears with an otoscope and looking for the mites or their eggs. They may also take a sample of ear debris to examine under a microscope.
Treatment:
Treatment for ear mites typically involves:
* Cleaning the ears: This helps remove debris and ear wax, making it easier for medication to work.
* Medicated ear drops or topical medication: These kill the mites and their eggs.
* Treating all pets in the household: Since ear mites are so contagious, it's important to treat all pets to prevent reinfection.
Prevention:
* Regular ear cleaning: This can help remove debris and ear wax, making it less hospitable for mites.
* Avoiding contact with infected animals: This can be difficult, but try to limit your pet's exposure to animals that may have ear mites.
* Regular veterinary checkups: Your veterinarian can check your pet's ears for signs of mites and provide preventative care.
Important Notes:
* Do not attempt to clean your pet's ears with cotton swabs. This can push debris further into the ear canal and potentially damage the eardrum.
* Do not use human ear mite medication on your pet. These medications may not be safe or effective for animals.
* Consult your veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment. They can recommend the best course of action for your pet.
