The American Kennel Club (AKC) approves the following colors for Poodles in their breed standard:

# # # Solid Colors:
1. **Black**
2. **White**
3. **Brown**
4. **Cream**
5. **Apricot**
6. **Blue**
7. **Gray**
8. **Silver**
9. **Café-au-lait**
10. **Red**

# # # Parti and Phantom Colors:
While solid colors are most preferred and recognized in AKC conformation shows, **parti-colored** (two or more colors) and **phantom-colored** Poodles (specific patterns) are also recognized in performance events but are not eligible for conformation competition.

The emphasis in AKC shows is primarily on the solid-colored Poodles when it comes to conforming to breed standards.
