One of our volunteers spotted a kitten sitting on the edge of the sidewalk, dangerously close to the road. Concerned for its safety, she quickly went to another volunteerās house to get a cage, and together they returned to rescue the kitten. Sadly, the kittenās left eye is severely swollen and in need of immediate medical attention. Weāre sharing the rescue video, capturing the urgency and compassion of our volunteers in action.
Sharing Jijiās first day of confinement at the Manila Feline Center - She had to be force-fed, but despite that, she looked relaxed on her favorite bed. I think bringing her bed along helped make her feel more at home, providing a sense of comfort during this challenging time.
Posting this video of Nami walking on the dashboard during our trip to the vet last Thursday. Little did I know it would be our last time together. š
Meet Oscar, a stray whoās been roaming along the busy main road in our village. One of our volunteers started feeding him a few days ago and after noticing he seemed unwell, we knew it wasnāt safe for him to stay out there. Yesterday, we decided to bring him into the shelter for much-needed medication, and once heās better, heāll be neutered. Oscar was incredibly cooperative, showing no resistance as we gently placed him in the cage. Weāre glad to have him safe now, and weāll make sure he gets the care he needs to recover!
We visited the site where our shelter house used to be located, which has sadly become a common dumping ground for kittens. We wanted to check if any had been abandoned there. Thankfully, during our visit, we didnāt find any kittens, empty sacks, or boxes around the area. We're relieved, but we'll continue to stay vigilant for their safety.
Today marks the 35th day of the 84-day FIP treatment of our dear rescues, Scarlet and Casper. Though improvement in their mobility has been slow, there are some positive signs: their body temperatures have stabilized, and they havenāt lost their appetites ā small but significant victories in their recovery process. We are incredibly grateful to Manila Feline Center for being with us throughout Scarlet and Casperās treatment. Their assistance, support, and readiness to answer all our queries have been helpful and we couldnāt have done this without them. However, the cost of their treatment is weighing heavily on our budget, and we need help to continue providing them with the care they need. If youāre able to assist with donations, it would mean the world to Scarlet, Casper, and to us. Every bit helps in ensuring they win this battle. Thank you for your support, and thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
Check out the amazing transformation of Konomi, Kwason, and Kish - three proud beneficiaries of our TNSVR (Trap-Neuter-Spay-Vaccinate-Release) program! These three are now thrivingāhappy, healthy, and safe, living their best lives. Neutering and spaying are not only essential in helping control the stray population, but they also greatly benefit the overall health and longevity of our beloved pets. We encourage all furparents to consider this important step for the well-being of their furbabies. A special thank you to Ms. Connie, who works in the building where these three roam, for feeding them.
Netflix night with our sweet Cara! She's been sitting quietly on my lap, completely focusedādo you think she's following the plot? - Cara was rescued on April 7, 2022, when she was just 2 months old. Now, at 2 years and 3 months, sheās still very much a lap cat. Sheās living with her foster mom (thatās me!), who has fallen so in love with her that adoption is no longer an option! Looks like Cara has found her forever home. #RescueCat #NetflixandCats #ChillVibes
Meet Tipsy, our resident escape artist! Today, we found out just how clever this feisty little kitten is when she was spotted roaming around the garage like she owned the place. While we missed capturing her daring escape, we did manage to film the hilarious aftermath. And the best part? The final shotāTipsy, safely caught and secured once again. She wasnāt too thrilled about being placed in a bird cage, but with its smaller gaps, itās the only way to keep her from pulling another disappearing act. Stay tuned for more of Tipsyās mischievous adventures!
Hope this video brings a smile to your face as it did mine. Stay tuned for more adorable moments like this!
Always grateful to our adopters.
It was Duke's first day in the house, and Jiji, being the playful mainstay, was quick to welcome him in her own way. But Duke, still shy and adjusting to his new surroundings, wasnāt quite ready to join the play. Itās moments like these that warm our heartsāseeing how they interact and form their unique bonds. Weāre sure that in time, Duke's confidence will grow, and before long, heāll be right there playing alongside Jiji.
