There has been a viral post of a photo of a dog resting near our Timog clinic.

We would like to update you about the dog in the photo and provide you some background.

This dog is a dog who lives near our clinic. He is definitely NOT a stray dog as the person who posted alleges. He has a pet owner who takes care of him. He likes staying beside the clinic because a nearby Korean mart gives him food on a regular basis. He has some form of dermatitis that is being managed by his owner. We thank those who have messaged us regarding Bantay and are concerned about his welfare. Rest assured he is in good hands.

We want to emphasize responsible pet ownership which means providing an environment where your pet can live safely and appropriately. More importantly, however, we want to highlight responsible posting. Learn the facts before you post because it can easily be misinterpreted and sensationalized, as in this case. While a simple picture (photoshopped or not) can tell a story, it does not give the full picture of the situation. There is too much misinformation out there and we do not want a simple photo such as this to add to it.
