SCHOOL'S HISTORY
Malasya-Uyungan Primary School started to operate independently in June 1990 catering Indigenous Peoples (Dumagat Tribe) of Rodriguez, Rizal pioneered by Mr. Narciso San Jose and Mr. Juanito Lim as full time teachers in five years of operation. Due to gradually decreasing of enrollment because of tribeโs nomadism, armed conflict and no other teacher was willing to teach due to di
stance and lack of transportation to reach the place, the school stopped its operation in 1995. For 17 years of stagnancy, Sitio Malasya-Uyungan gradually become progressive, and families are soaring for education of their child. The indigenous tribes become modernized and some people from Aklan began to migrate the place in quest for Kaingin farming and logging. The most accessible barrio from the place is Brgy. Calawis, Antipolo City where the residents need to walk for 10 kilometers. With the initiative of Sitio Chairman Elsie J. Marcelino in year 2011, she filed a request to Mr. Dasalla, a Public Schools District Supervisor of the time, and Hon. Agudes, a Barangay Chairman of Puray to reopen the school. The request granted to open the school in June 2012 to handle classes from Kindergarten to Grade Three in which Puray Elementary School served as the Mother school. With the perseverance of Ms. Jonalyn S. Agudes and Mrs. Josephine P. Siloterio, the school open her door to cater the 73 pupils of Malasya-Uyungan, School Year 2012-2013. The school has only one (1) old building structure erected in year 1991 with 2 classrooms, and is equally divided into three to accommodate the increasing enrolment every year. A lot donated by the tribe measuring approximately 2,000 square meters serves as the permanent school site to be erected by additional buildings in the soonest times. Additional regular permanent item was given to Mr. Aldrin E. Bautista, a teacher borrowed from Rodriguez Heights Elementary School was deployed by Mrs Edna Q. Ramos, a Public Schools District Supervisor to serve the learner eager to finish their study and attain the dream of quality Education. Makeshift classrooms has been made to cater the yearly increase of enrollment and buildings began to plan and been erected by the DepEd DPWH 2 storey, 4 classrooms. In April 1, 2016, Malasya-Uyungan Elementary School graduated its first batch of two (2) academically trained pupils. Detailing of teachers became continued from the other school since 2015 such as Mr. Arniel S. Alano from Southville 8 ES, Mrs. Julieta Z. Montales from Puray ES, Mr. Michael C. Asuncion and Mr. Jayreel M. Mendoza both from San Isidro Labrador ES while the only one item owned by the school is Mr. Cresente E. Musong lately deployed in December 1, 2020. June 2014 when the school transfer its leadership to Mr. Richard Zonio, a Teacher In-Charge who made Malasya-Uyungan Annex a satellite school of Macaingalan Elementary School up to June 2016 and goes back to Puray Elementary School when Mr. Zonio transferred after his promotion to Head Teacher I. October 2018 when the school became an independent after having Mrs. Marissa T. Decena has been assigned as a full time stand alone Teacher In-Charge until May 2020. The school now is a satellite school of San Rafael Elementary School after Mr. Fredelito B. Cabalang, a newly assigned Public Schools District Supervisor recommended Dr. Richard Z. Zonio to manage the school for the third time in June 2020. With the committed PTA President pioneered by Mrs. Evelyn Cruz and Mrs. Rosalie Fundal, parents become actively engaged in different schoolโs activities, and supporting the Bayanihan sa Paaralan program of the school and Brigada Eskwela. At present, it continuously developed not only academically but total physical ground improvement with the help of different stakeholders even in a small ways by giving school supplies to teachers and pupils, feeding the malnourished pupils and help improving the totality of the school. With this development, the school attributes to dedicated mentors, supportive parents and responsive community for without their fruitful endeavor, it might have not been what it is now.
