Check this out if you have fat/ overweight cats or any pet.

Lets talk kidneys for a second. Both of these are cat kidneys. The right kidney was from a cat of healthy weight. The left kidney was from a very very overweight cat. All of his organs were covered in fat. There’s certainly some other underlying problems that would cause the kidney to be enlarged to this degree, but please use this as a PSA that fat pets are not cute. They’re incredibly unhealthy and will develop a myriad of problems from being overfed.
