Transmissible Venereal Tumors, without treatment, usually continue to grow and may spread to other areas of the body. If you observe signs of abnormal growth on your dog’s body it is always best to consult a Veterinarian.

Our hearts break to see this once-beloved pet being abandoned by their owner. This morning, we saw vomits scattered in front of the building where our clinic is located. Then, we saw a dog with a note attached to its collar:

"Humihingi po ako ng tulong ang shih tzu ko po ay kapapanganak lang may naiwan pang tuta sa loob ng tyan kayo na po ang bahala sa a*o ko. Maraming salamat po."

Our clinic does not tolerate this act. We understand that life can be difficult, but as pet owners it is our responsibility to care for our pets in the best way we can- abandoning them is certainly NOT the solution. We hope that this would be the first and last instance, and pray that no more pets end up abandoned, neglected, and abused.

𝗣𝗘𝗧 𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗕𝗬 𝗟𝗔𝗪 under RA 10631
SEC. 7. It shall be unlawful for any person who has custody of an animal to abandon the animal.
“If any person being the owner or having charge or control of any animal shall without rea*onable cause or excuse abandon it, whether permanently or not, without providing for the care of that animal, such act shall constitute maltreatment under Section 9.
“If the animal is left in circumstances likely to cause the animal any unnecessary suffering, or if this abandonment results in the death of the animal, the person liable shall suffer the maximum penalty.

“Abandonment means the relinquishment of all right, title, claim, or possession of the animal with the intention of not reclaiming it or resuming its ownership or possession.”
