Your pets' health and happiness are our top priorities! "Awesome Pets Deserve Pawsome Care" Exciomo was in grade 3, she had a dog named Wilkins. Wilkins was not only her pet, but also her best friend. She was helpless when he got sick and begged her father to bring him to a veterinary clinic for help. Unfortunately, during those days, there was no veterinary clinics available and Wilkins was on hi

s very last breath. Due this painful childhood experience, Dra. Exciomo strive towards excellence to become a Licensed Veterinarian in college. With this promise to Wilkins during the final hours long ago, a personal accomplishment was fulfilled - Licensed Veterinarian. With compassion and love for all kind of animals, a dream of having her very own veterinary clinic was forseen. Pawsome Pets Veterinary Clinic & Supply was born. Pawsome Pets Veterinary Clinic & Supply was founded and opened on November 4th 2013 by Dra. Erwinia B. Mendoza-Exciomo and Dr. John Beverson DG. It started on a 4 by 7 meters stall with very few supplies and limited services due to small space. It was tough learning how to operate a business and coping with difficulties. The most difficult part of business was learning how to retain clients from going to their competitors. Due to lack of funds, hiring extra helping hands was out of the picture. However, because of a childhood promise to Wilkins to never give up providing for his furry friends, Dra. Exciomo remained strong and overcome all obstacles despite sleepless nights. On September 28th, 2015 - determination, dedication, and hard work – paid off; Pawsome Pets grew it's client-base of loyal customers and relocated to a much more spacious space down the street from the original location. Now, Dra. Exciomo and Dr. Exciomo offers more professional services – surgeries, grooming, pet training, and educational seminars - and different varies of high quality pets supplies – Pet toys, pet foods, pet accessories - and vaccinations to all animals – mainly dogs and cats. Sometimes we do not notice our cats as a whole, which is why keeping an eye on their litter box and observing their behavior can help us determine if they are having problems, especially with urinating and defecating.

A delayed visit to the vet for a cat with a blocked urinary tract is very concerning. The urinary bladder can become severely damaged, leading to serious health issues that could even result in death. Urgent catheterization is needed for this problem.

Pawsome here, there, and everywhere! 😅😉

Thank you, Ma'am Jean Retonda from MANGATAREM, Pangasinan. In this case, it is much easier to vaccinate these four hyperactive huskies at home than to bring them to the clinic individually for their yearly boosters, especially considering the distance (24kms).

During house calls, we rely on the household's cooperation to safely restrain their pets. Dogs can be territorial, and aggression is sometimes unavoidable.

Note: House call fees vary depending on your location and the number of dogs. We offer house calls for vaccinations, deworming/preventative care, and anti-tick and flea treatments only. Check-ups and laboratory work require a visit to the clinic.

Today, we want to share the touching journey of a brave furbaby, Onay who recently came to us for help. This sweet girl was experiencing dystocia (difficulty in giving birth).

During her ultrasound, we sadly discovered that there was no heartbeat detected in the puppies. Despite our best efforts to retrieve them, we found that none of the puppies had survived. To ensure her health and prevent future complications, we performed an ovariohysterectomy.

We are grateful to Ma'am Valdez and family for bringing this precious furbaby all the way from AGUILAR, Pangasinan. She returned for suture removal and we’re thrilled to report that she’s back to her old self! 🥰

🐾🔫🔫 On February 1, 2025, we had an unexpected and shocking case at our clinic—a cat named "Dojae" who had been shot with an airgun. The bullet entered through her right flank and became lodged in her left flank.🔫

We're so grateful for the love and care that his human family provided, ensuring he received the help he needed. 🥰

🎯 We want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that animal cruelty is a serious offense under Philippine law. The Animal Welfare Act (Republic Act No. 8485) prohibits acts of cruelty to animals, including the infliction of unnecessary pain or suffering. Violators can face penalties, including fines and imprisonment.

🐈🐾 This sweet 11-year-old neutered domestic shorthair (Puspin) came into the clinic exhibiting some concerning symptoms: hypersalivation, constant vocalization, straining to defecate, and she was severely dehydrated. After a thorough examination, it was determined she was suffering from severe constipation.

Thankfully, her owners brought her in right away. This was so important! Because they acted quickly, we were able to address the constipation and prevent it from developing into more serious complications.

Constipation can be really uncomfortable for cats, and if left untreated, it can lead to some significant health problems.

If you notice your cat exhibiting any of the following signs, please don't hesitate to give us a call and bring them to the clinic immediately:

✅ Straining to defecate (can be accompanied by hypersalivation): This is a big red flag. 🚩🚨
✅ Passing small, hard stools: This can be a sign of dehydration and/or constipation.
✅ Painful defecation: If your cat is crying or seems uncomfortable while trying to go to the bathroom, it's definitely something to get checked out.
✅ Decreased appetite: Often, constipated cats will lose their appetite.
✅ Lethargy: A constipated cat may seem unusually tired or sluggish.
✅ Vomiting: This can sometimes occur as a secondary issue related to constipation.🤮

Now she is starting to eat and cannot resist these new treats (Wellbaby °) that are available at the clinic for 20 pesos per stick. 😋😋
