Samoyed

Nicknamed the “Smiling Sammie,” the gentle and outgoing Samoyed loves his family, including cats if he’s raised with them. This reindeer herder is a tad stubborn, and positive reinforcement training works best with him. His beautiful white coat must be groomed two or three times a week and sheds heavily.

Alaskan Malamute

The Alaskan Malamute is perhaps the oldest and definitely the largest of the Arctic sled dogs. The breed is named after the Mahlemut, an Inuit tribe from Alaska’s Kotzebue Sound area.

The Alaskan Malamute is a dog fur factory, he's a world-class leash-puller, and he'll eat his weight in food every four hours if you let him. The world is his backyard; that’s because few fences can contain him. But there may be no more joyful, exuberant, friendly dog in the animal kingdom, and none more likely to remind you just why you love dogs in the first place.

The Tibetan Mastiff

The largest dog breed in the planet. This large Tibetan dog breed belongs to the mastiff family. Males can reach heights up to 83 cm (33 in). The original Tibetan Mastiff breed from its native range usually weighed 55–90 kg (121–198 lb).

Its double coat is long, subject to climate, and found in a wide variety of colors, including solid black, black and tan, various shades of red (from pale gold to deep red) and bluish-gray (dilute black), often with white markings.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi (/ˈkɔːrɡi/; Welsh for "dwarf dog")

This is a cattle herding dog breed that originated in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is one of two breeds known as Welsh Corgi. The other is the Cardigan Welsh Corgi.

The corgi is one of the smallest herding dogs. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are famous as the preferred breed of Queen Elizabeth II, who has owned more than 30 during her reign.

According to the American Kennel Club, Pembroke Welsh Corgis were ranked 13th most popular breed of dog in 2018.

English Bulldog

The English bulldog has a sweet, gentle disposition. Dependable and predictable, the bulldog is a wonderful family pet and loving to most children. People-oriented as a breed, they actively solicit human attention.

However, they have retained the courage that was originally bred into them for bull baiting, so they make fine watchdogs. Although they generally get along well with other family pets, English bulldogs can be aggressive to unfamiliar dogs.

Pomeranian

The Pomeranian is a true "toy" dog, with an ideal height of eight to 11 inches and weight of only three to seven pounds (one to three kilograms).

They are often at mature size by seven to 10 months of age.

Pomeranians are easily recognized by their luxuriant fluffy double coat and foxy face with an alert, prick ears.

Perky and friendly, even though they are small, Pomeranians need regular exercise and thrive on training. They are intelligent, but sometimes do not realize they are small and will confront larger dogs.

Caucasian Ovcharka

The Caucasian Shepherd is a remarkably large dog that has a heritage spanning nearly 3,000 years. It has been largely kept to the Caucasian Mountain areas but in the 20th century, the breed became known for military and police work in the U.S.S.R., and then for guarding the Berlin Wall and eventually was exported worldwide.

Left to its own devices, it is a naturally aggressive dog whose size is frightening; when properly trained, he can be a great family pet who will guard with his life.
