The day we removed the Duck Bone on Chuchay, the day we felt that God was guiding our hands. It was a life-and-death moment that can cause a puncture of the heart or lungs during bone acquisition

Chuchay, a 3-year-old female Shih Tzu, weighing 3 kg was admitted on 2 January from Pangasinan.

Chuchay was diagnosed with Foreign Body Ingestion after Christmas. GIT Ulceration and Perforation on the stomach, and has Ehrlichiosis. A complete blood count (CBC) revealed a hematocrit (HCT) of 13%. A 200 ml whole blood transfusion was performed to address severe anemia.

Surgery Performed
Endoscopy was the primary option of the owner but didn’t work due to the large size of the foreign body (bone) ang gi perf. A gastrostomy-stomach wound repair and esophageal-stomach tube placement were performed. During the procedure, it was noted that a bone was lodged in the caudal esophagus, causing perforations and severe gastritis, after removal a repair to the eso-fundic region is done.

We do not see God often in church; we saw Him and felt him last January 2, 2025, working and helping us in our Operating Room. Chuchay now is living well back in Pangasinan 🧡

Urgent: Blood Donors Needed 🩸
Churu is in urgent need of 700 mL of blood to recover and regain his health. He is currently confined at our clinic and fighting hard to return to his loving family.

We are calling on fully vaccinated dogs who meet the following criteria to help save Churu:

Age: 1 year or older
Weight: 25 kg or more
A pre-screening blood test will be conducted to ensure the donor dog is healthy and eligible.

If your dog meets these requirements, please reach out to us immediately. Your generosity can be the lifeline that Churu needs to go back home to his family.
