CHRISTMAS SEASON ❄️🥶🤧🎄
Keep your pets safe as many diseases take opportunity this season. Common health problems that could arise include:
BLOOD PARASITISM
1.) Ehrlichiosis - Ehrlichiosis is a serious disease that can cause life-threatening complications. Dogs develop clinical signs 1-3 weeks after the bite of an infected tick.
Dogs may have a fever, joint pain, evidence of
bleeding, anemia, thrombocytopenia, or uveitis.
2.) Babesiosis - Babesia attacks red blood cells in the body. Infection is spread through tick bites and/or exposure to infected dog blood
3.) Anaplasmosis - is caused a bacteria called Anaplasma phagocytophilum, the most common signs are similar to severe flu symptoms.
4.) Heartworm - Signs of heartworm disease may include a mild persistent cough, reluctance to exercise, fatigue after moderate activity, decreased appetite, and weight loss. As heartworm disease progresses, pets may develop heart failure and the appearance of a swollen belly due to excess fluid in the abdomen.

1. LEPTOSPIROSIS- it is a bacterial infection brought by an infected rat or dog’s urine. It is important to prevent your pets from ingesting a possibly contaminated water.
2. ECTOPARASITES - “Lamok”, “Kuto/Kato”, “Pulgas”. They feed on our pets and bring many diseases such as Canine Blood Parasites and Tapeworms.
3. RESPIRATORY INFECTION - cough and nasal discharge are one of the signs you should watch out for in your pets. It is important to keep your pet’s vaccination status updated to protect them from harmful viruses and bacterias this rainy season.
4. GASTROINTESTINAL PROBLEMS - a sudden change in weather could alter the normal microflora of an individual. To ensure your pet’s gut is healthy and strong, deworming must be up to date and a clean water should always be served!
