KIRAY, 1-year old lovely Aspin, is all smile as she is now PROTECTED against HEARTWORM! She's given a 1 YEAR PREVENTIVE MEDICATION against heartworm.

Yey! Thank you Doc Jane! 🥳❤️

Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease in pets that is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs and associated blood vessels of affected pets, causing severe lung disease, heart failure and damage to other organs in the body (ctt American Heartworm Society).

It is spread from host to host through the bite of infected mosquitoes. Sadly, heartworm disease is endemic in the Philippines. The good news is, there are preventive medications against heartworm.

Give your dog preventive care against heartworm and other blood parasites! Have them routinely checked! ❤️

🌋🐾 Volcanic Smog: A Hidden Danger for Your Pets 🐾🌋

Volcanic smog, or "vog," isn't just a concern for humans—it's also a serious threat to our furry friends. The fine particles and gases in vog can irritate your pet’s respiratory system, causing coughing, difficulty breathing, and eye irritation. Pets with existing health issues may suffer even more.

Protect Your Pets:

Keep them indoors during high vog periods.
Ensure fresh air by using air purifiers.
Monitor their health closely.
Stay alert and take precautions to keep your pets safe from the effects of volcanic smog! 🌬️🐶🐱

Signs Your Pet Might Have Crystals in Their Urine❗️

Noticing changes in your pet's bathroom habits? Crystals in their urine can be a sign of an underlying issue. Here’s what to look out for:

Frequent Urination: If your pet seems to be urinating more often than usual, it could be a sign of urinary crystals.

Straining to Urinate: Difficulty or discomfort while urinating can indicate that crystals are causing a blockage or irritation.

Blood in the Urine: Pink or red-tinged urine, or visible blood in the litter box or on the grass, can be a serious symptom of crystals or other urinary issues.

Cloudy or Strong-Smelling Urine: Crystals can cause urine to appear cloudy or to have a more pungent odor than normal.

Unusual Behavior: If your pet is acting more restless, vocal, or uncomfortable, particularly around urination times, it might be related to urinary discomfort.

Increased Thirst: Drinking more water than usual can be a response to the discomfort or potential dehydration caused by urinary issues.

If you observe any of these signs, it’s important to consult your veterinarian.

Stay vigilant and proactive for your pet’s well-being! 🐶🐱💧

Why Deworming is Crucial for Your Pet’s Health 🐾

Ensuring your pet is regularly dewormed is a key part of maintaining their overall health and well-being. Here’s why it’s so important:

Prevents Health Issues: Worms like roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms can cause a range of health problems, from digestive issues and weight loss to more serious conditions like anemia and organ damage. Regular deworming helps keep these parasites at bay.

Protects Your Family: Some worms can be transmitted to humans, especially children who may come into close contact with pets. Deworming your pet reduces the risk of zoonotic infections and keeps everyone in the household safer.

Improves Quality of Life: Worms can make your pet uncomfortable and irritable. Regular deworming ensures your furry friend feels their best, with a shiny coat, healthy appetite, and plenty of energy for playtime.

Promotes Longevity: By preventing worm-related diseases, deworming contributes to your pet’s overall health and longevity. It’s a small investment in their future happiness and quality of life.

Easy and Effective: Deworming is a simple process, usually involving a tasty chew or liquid medication. Your vet can recommend the best deworming schedule based on your pet’s age, health, and lifestyle.

Keep your pet happy and healthy by staying on top of their deworming schedule. Regular check-ups with your vet will ensure that your pet remains free from these unwanted guests!

🐾 Why Vaccinations Are a Must for Your Pet! 🐾

Hey pet lovers! 🐶🐱 We wanted to share why keeping our furry friends up-to-date with their vaccinations is so important.

🐾Prevents Serious Diseases: Vaccinations protect pets from potentially life-threatening diseases like rabies, distemper, and parvovirus. It’s a simple way to shield them from illnesses that can be severe or even fatal. 💉❤️

🐾Promotes Longevity: Healthy pets live longer and enjoy a better quality of life. By vaccinating, you’re giving your pet a fighting chance to stay healthy and happy for years to come. 🌟🐾

🐾Protects Other Animals: Vaccinating your pet helps prevent the spread of diseases to other animals. It’s part of being a responsible pet owner and contributing to the health of the entire pet community. 🐾🤝

🐾Saves on Vet Bills: Preventative care is often more cost-effective than treating a disease after it’s developed. Vaccinations can help avoid costly medical treatments down the line. 💸🏥

🐾Peace of Mind: Knowing your pet is protected gives you peace of mind and allows you to enjoy your time together without worry. ❤️🐕🐈

Make sure to check in with your vet to keep track of your pet’s vaccination schedule. Here’s to happy, healthy pets everywhere! 🥳🐾
