Vaccines help teach your pet’s immune system how to recognize and fight off certain disease-causing agents. Vaccines work by stimulating the immune system's production of antibodies that identify and destroy these agents—before they can cause disease. This helps prevent or lessen the severity of future disease.
Why is it important to have my pet vaccinated?
Vaccinations protect your pet from highly contagious and/or deadly diseases and improve your pet's overall quality of life. Experts agree that widespread use of vaccinations within the last century has prevented death and disease in millions of animals.
Vaccination prevents many pet illnesses.
Vaccination can help avoid costly treatments for preventable diseases.
Vaccination prevents diseases that can be passed between animals and from animals to people.
Unvaccinated pets are at risk from life-threatening diseases found in wildlife, such as rabies and distemper.

Flea and tick prevention by Pet Animal Recovery Veterinary Clinic consists of a variety of products used to control flea and/or tick infestations on your pet and to prevent infestations inside your home, and that may cause severe diseases such as blood parasitism. Fleas are small insects that are parasitic; they feed on blood from animals and/or people. Ticks are a type of arachnid (like spiders, scorpions, and mites) that are also parasitic.

🐾 Attention Pet Parents: Keep Your Furry Friends Safe from Heatstroke! 🌞
As the weather warms up, it's crucial to be mindful of our beloved pets' well-being. Heatstroke can be a serious threat to our furry companions, especially during hot summer days. Here's what you need to know to keep your pets safe:
🌡️ Recognize the Signs: Symptoms of heatstroke in dogs and cats include excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, and collapse. If you notice any of these signs, act fast!
🚰 Provide Ample Water: Make sure your pets have access to fresh, cool water at all times. Hydration is key to helping them regulate their body temperature.
🏡 Create a Cool Environment: Keep your pets indoors during the hottest parts of the day, and provide shade and fans if they're outdoors. Avoid leaving them in cars, even for a short time, as temperatures can skyrocket rapidly.
🚶‍♂️ Exercise Caution: Limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, opting for walks and playtime in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler.
🚿 Cool Them Down: If your pet shows signs of heatstroke, move them to a cool, shaded area immediately. Use cool (not cold) water to wet their fur and offer them water to drink. SEEK VETERINARY HELP promptly.
👂 Listen to Your Pet: Every animal is different, so pay attention to their behavior. If they seem uncomfortable or overheated, take action to help them cool down.
Let's work together to ensure our furry friends stay safe and comfortable during the summer months. 🐶🐱

Vaccinating your pet dog is important for several rea*ons:

Prevention of Diseases: Vaccines protect your dog from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and hepatitis. These diseases can be highly contagious and often fatal, especially in puppies or dogs with weakened immune systems.

Public Health: Some diseases that affect dogs, such as rabies, can also infect humans. Vaccinating your dog against rabies not only protects your pet but also helps prevent the spread of the disease to other animals and people.

Legal Requirement: Vaccinating your dog against rabies is a legal requirement. Failure to vaccinate your dog may result in fines or other legal consequences.

Herd Immunity: Vaccinating your dog helps contribute to herd immunity within the dog population. This means that when a large percentage of dogs in a community are vaccinated, it becomes more difficult for diseases to spread, ultimately protecting even those dogs who cannot be vaccinated due to health rea*ons.

Cost-Effective: Vaccinating your dog is generally more cost-effective than treating the diseases they prevent. The cost of vaccinating your pet is typically much lower than the cost of treating a serious illness.

Peace of Mind: Vaccinating your dog provides peace of mind knowing that you are taking proactive steps to protect their health and well-being.

Overall, vaccinating your pet dog is an essential part of responsible pet ownership and helps keep both your dog and the community safe and healthy.
