Why you should never cut a Nordic dog's hair?.
The rea*on is simple to explain, but, difficult to understand by many owners.
The double layer of hair of these breeds (Husky, Alaska Malamute, Samoyedo, etc. ) works as a temperature regulator when it's hot, so it keeps them cool, unlike what you'd think (that they're being grilled).
The photos were taken with an infrared camera, in which we can observe a Nordic specimen, and as the fur regulates its body temperature, the bluest areas represent the coldest areas and the reds, the hottest.
The recommendation is that you never cut your dogs' hair, alter the natural thermoregulation mechanism and leave them defenseless against natural elements such as the sun, promoting so they suffer heat stroke, for example.
If you think your pets are suffering from the heat, the best thing you can do is provide them with fresh, cold and clean water, a shady place, you can help with fan, ice, shallow pools, etc.
