Ear mites are parasites that can affect dogs and cats and cause severe discomfort. Symptoms include severe scratching of ears and neck area, head shaking, skin irritation, and dark waxy ear discharge. Ear mites are contagious via direct contact and they multiply very quickly!

If you observe these signs on your pets, it is important to bring them to the Vet for proper diagnosis. Misdiagnosing ear mites at home can lead to inappropriate treatment which can make your pet's situation to get worse.

Enucleation is a common surgical procedure wherein an eye is removed due to injurious trauma, severe infection, severe corneal ulcers, or tumors in the eye that cannot be resected.

This little Hufflepug 😉 was brought in due to severely proptosed, painful, and infected right eye which was clearly making him uncomfortable. He immediately underwent enucleation procedure.

Volcanic smog observed from the Taal Volcano has been reported today in Batangas and nearby areas (Laguna, Cavite, Metro Manila).

According to PHIVOLCS, Volcanic smog or VOG, consist of fine droplets containing volcanic gas such as SO2, is acidic and can cause irritation of the eyes, throat, and respiratory tract with severities depending on the gas concentrations and durations of exposure.

The following are some helpful and simple steps to help protect our fur babies from the harmful effects of exposure to volcanic smog.

It's officially rainy season!! ☔️🌧️ And usually right after a mild drizzle or a furious downpour, some jumpy little creatures come out of nowhere. 🐸🐸🐸

Our furry friends🐶 are naturally curious and most of the time playful. They may get into mischief sometimes and may take a lick 👅 .. or even bite things and creatures that they should not be touching in the first place. One of the most common incident is when a dog bites or licks a toad and get poisoned.

So what to do if this happens to your pet?

As first aid, WASH 💦your dog's mouth extensively with running water. Decontamination is the first step.

Then most importantly,
