TAGAYTAY RESTO ISSUES PUBLIC APOLOGY

Balay Dako, a restaurant in Tagaytay City, issued a public apology on Monday after facing backlash for not allowing an aspin inside the restaurant despite claiming to be pet-friendly.

"We sincerely apologize for the recent misunderstanding regarding our pet policy. As a company that loves animals, we understand the importance of accommodating pets. However, we must also consider factors such as spacing and the safety of all our guests. We are currently reviewing our policy to ensure it is clear, fair, and balances the needs of both pet owners and non-pet owners," the statement read.

A Facebook post went viral on Sunday that detailed an incident wherein Yoda, an aspin, was denied entry into the restaurant due to the dog’s size and allegedly breed. (Facebook/Balay Dako)

Why Choose Doc Gab - Home Service Veterinarian ?

Clarification: we are only the event's organizer and community partner of Doc Gab, we are not veterinarians (we are actually teachers by profession). We are simple furparent na kung san san nakakaabot para makahanap ng mura na kapon, dati nakakaabot din po kami sa cavite. Pero nung naexperience namin ang service nila, hindi na kami naghanap ng iba.

May mga mas mura po na kapon event and clinic na nagooffer ng service pero why did we choose Doc Gab?

1. Professionalism. They always arrive on time and their work ethics is impressive. Pagdating po ng team nila, they will work immediately. They will set up the place and at the same time one of the Vets will conduct a pre operation talk to the owners para maging aware sila sa mga mangyayari. They will also conduct a post operation talk. And when they start, they will not stop, no break at all kaya during our first event 90 pets were finished in just 4 hours. Kaya nila magoperate ng 15- 20 pets or more in one hour sa iba kapag 90 pets maghapon na po bago matapos.

2. Reasonable Price. Sa iba mas mura, some offer 500 per cat pero hindi included sa price nila ang meds. Based on experience, ang meds sa iba ay 150 for antibiotics, 150 for pain meds and 150 for wound medicine and oral meds po ito except wound meds. Alam po natin if gaano kahirap magpainom ng gamot sa ating pets kalmot at kagat minsan nakukuha natin. Pero with doc gab, injectable meds po ang ibibigay and included na sa price (except wound med) so di po tayo mahihirapan sa pagpapainom.

The rates for this mass neuter event are:
Male cat: 850
Female cat: 950 (additional 500 if with abortion or pyometra)
Male dog starts at 1500
Female dog starrs at 2500

3. Fast Recovery of Pets. Sa kanila lang po ako nakakita na napakaliit ng surgery wound sa female cat (halos tuldok lng po ang size) kaya mabilis ang recovery. 1 week lng ok na po ang female cat (sa iba po 14 days ang recovery) male cat 1 DAY lang. Sa dogs naman po di lalampas ng 2 weeks ok na sila.

4. Part of the proceeds will be donated to chose rescue group. Malaking tulong po ang pagsali nyo sa event na ito sa mga rescuer na nangangailangan ng tulong.

Ang pinagkaiba nga lng din po ng team ng doc gab sa iba ay hindi po allowed na umalis ang kayo kahit tapos na ioperate ang pet nyo dahil need pa po nila icheck if responsive and ok na sila. Magbibigay din po sila ng post operation talk para alam nyo po kung paano alagaan ang pets nyo which is of course very important

KAPONation Santa Rosa is an organization founded by two furparent from Santa Rosa City in December 2022. In the past years, furparents Sarah and Arbie are constantly looking for low-cost mass spay/neuter since this procedure is highly beneficial for their cat and the community but rather costly if done in a private clinic.
They advocate spay and neuter for many reasons such as: overpopulation control, health benefits for the pet, improved behavior and longer life span.
In just a span of five (5) months with only two (2) low cost spay and neuter event in partnership with Doc Gab Home Service Veterinarian, KAPONATION Santa Rosa has helped 120 pets to be sterilized! These pets are lucky to have responsible furparents who took care of their pet’s welfare.
This coming May 27, KAPONation Santa Rosa will organize their 3rd Low Cost Mass Spay/ Neuter. Hopefully, this organization can help more furparents to sterilized their pets.
